Luke Bryan brilliantly captures the magic and nostalgia of a true country song in the new music video for his twangy tune, “Country Song Came On.”

Filmed in the setting of a rustic barn in Nashville, Tennessee and directed by Kate Rentz, the video finds Bryan in his element – commanding the stage with his Georgia-bred vocals. As the song unfolds, the focus expands from just Bryan in the center of the spotlight to reveal a room full of couples swaying along to the tender track.

The district sounds of a steel guitar and acoustic strings radiate throughout the barn while Bryan illustrates the irresistible nature of a country song and the fun, impromptu nights that can come as a result.

The visual perfectly complements Luke Bryan’s stripped-back storytelling approach to the track. Both the song and the video hone in on the magnetic pull of country music and its ability to bring people together.

“I was gonna drive by/ Wasn’t gonna stop/ Then my old truck found a front row spot/ Gonna drop in, but I wasn’t gonna stay/ Then I heard a barstool calling my name/ Wasn’t gonna let the bar twist my arm/ But I’m helpless in a honky tonk/ Said I wasn’t gonna drink/ And then a country song came on,” he sings on the chorus.

The Five-time Entertainer of the Year’s video made its premiere on CMT, CMT MUSIC and CMT Equal Play and debuted on the Paramount Times Square Billboard. Director Kate Rentz shot the video in Nashville, Tennessee.

“Country Song Came On” was written by Ryan Beaver, Dan Alley and Neil Medley and appears on his Mind Of A Country Boy album.

Police Arrest Man After Bomb Threat At Morgan Wallen’s Nashville Bar

Police Arrest Man After Bomb Threat At Morgan Wallen’s Nashville Bar

A night out in downtown Nashville could have led to disaster on Wednesday, April 23, after a bomb threat was made against Morgan Wallen’s bar.

WKRN reports that according to court documents, the situation unfolded after bar security at This Bar & Tennessee Kitchen received a note written on a receipt that read: “I have a bomb!! Don’t be a hero SYBAU.”

Security quickly cleared the bar, located on Fourth Avenue North, while Metro Nashville Police Department officers responded to the scene. Luckily, nothing relating to the threat was found during the sweep of the six-story building.

The suspect, who was later found to be 26-year-old Reginald Smith, had already left the premises by the time police arrived. He was eventually located at another bar on Broadway. When confronted, Smith reportedly told officers that the note was a “joke” and that he “didn’t mean anything behind it.”

Police took the situation very seriously, however. Since the threat disrupted public safety and pulled three officers off active patrol, Smith was booked into Metro jail and charged with felony false reporting of an emergency. His bond was set at $15,000.

The incident came at a time when Nashville’s Lower Broadway district is generally bustling with tourists and country music fans, especially at Morgan Wallen’s bar, which has become one of the area’s hotspots since opening its doors.

The popular bar, restaurant and live music concept will celebrate one year of officially being open on June 1, 2025. As soon as TC Restaurant Group announced the news, fans expressed their excitement and flocked to the establishment as soon as possible.

“Morgan Wallen is one of the most sought after stars in the music industry, and we are thrilled that he has trusted us to deliver a concept that will bring him closer to his fans, hold fast to his roots and enshrine his name among an exclusive group of artists who can claim international stardom with a Lower Broadway destination fans all over the world seek out,” said Adam Hesler, President at TC Restaurant Group, at the time.

This Bar is situated on 4th Avenue, near the iconic Ryman Auditorium and just steps away from the bustling strip of neon lights on Broadway. The venue is approximately 30,000 square feet and features three live music stages, six bars and an open-air rooftop.

Inside, guests can admire a large collection of memorabilia and decor on every floor, highlighting Morgan Wallen’s rise from his East Tennessee roots to stardom. Even the bar’s name, This Bar, is a nod to his record-breaking Dangerous: The Double Album, as it was inspired by the fan-favorite track of the same name. Visitors can also shop exclusive Morgan Wallen merch in the gift shop, including items that honor his favorite Tennessee team.

The menu was curated by the country star himself alongside Chef Tomasz Wosiak, Vice President of Culinary Development for TC Restaurant Group. It features an array of southern delectables, bar bites, Tennessee favorites, and some recipes from Wallen’s own mom, Lesli.

Cole Swindell Reflects On Fatherhood, Baby Name Ideas, And Balancing A Packed Tour Schedule

Cole Swindell Reflects On Fatherhood, Baby Name Ideas, And Balancing A Packed Tour Schedule

Cole Swindell and his wife Courtney Little are preparing for the arrival of their first child, and the country star couldn’t be more excited. In a new interview with Katie Neal on Audacy, Swindell opened up about how this new chapter is already changing his life in the best way and some challenges that could be up ahead.

For starters, he shared that the stunning mom-to-be is doing “great” now, but she had a bit of a bumpy start during the first trimester. During this time Swindell learned he had to step up so that Courtnery could rest and continue growing a healthy baby.

“She didn’t have much energy and I was like, wow, this is a lot different. I noticed she does a lot around here, but she’s feeling good and everything has gone great so far. So we’re just really thankful.”

Finding Out The Gender

Shortly after announcing their pregnancy, the couple unveiled the gender of their first baby using a heartwarming video posted to Instagram. The clip that was captured during the photoshoot for their original March 3 announcement, starts in black and white as they hold up a baby onesie. As soon as the parents-to-be pin the tiny outfit onto the clothing line, it turns to color, revealing that they are expecting a baby girl.

At the very end, Swindell is seen placing their sonogram photo above the onesie and flashing a big smile next to his beautiful wife. To make the moment even more special, the video was set to Swindell’s stripped-down rendition of his latest single, “Forever To Me (Our Version).”

Before fans got to hear the news, the couple got to share the milestone with their family members. Cole Swindell noted that both of his brothers and their wives were over the moon, but his sister-in-law was especially excited to hear that a girl would be joining the family as she has three boys of her own. Swindell and his other half shared their family members’ enthusiasm over finding out their first child would be a girl.

“Obviously Courtney was hoping it was a girl,” he admitted. “As long as Courtney’s good and the baby’s good, I’m good with whatever. So I’m very excited about it.”

When asked if he had guessed the gender correctly, Swindell revealed he initially believed they would be having a boy.

“I thought it was going to be a boy…One of my brothers has a girl, so I do have a niece, so I guess it was a possibility, but I don’t know how that works, honestly. I was fine with whatever. So yeah, I’m terrified and excited and just all the things, but it’s really cool to hear other people the way they talk about it. And Courtney’s sister Laura has had a baby about a year and a half ago and so she’s been dealing with that, being an aunt, loving that. So it just feels like good timing.”

Leaning Towards A Family Name

The next important detail that fans are excited to learn is what the couple will be naming their baby. While Cole Swindell is staying tight-lipped on this piece of information until their little one is born, he did share that the name will likely be something “family oriented” from both sides of their families.

“I know that’s a special thing. So I think we’re close. We’ve got a few good options,” he shared.

The Georgia native goes on to say that getting the house and everything else ready to welcome their little girl has “taken over” just about everything in their lives, but he’s “totally cool with that” because so far, it’s been an “awesome” new adventure.

Finding A Balance Between Time On The Road And Time At Home

Things will start to get tricky in a few months, as the baby could come in the midst of a very busy tour schedule for Swindell.

“It’s been a challenge. My guy, Kevin Meads at WME, I know he’s been struggling trying to keep up with my schedule and make sure it all works, but that’s why you have folks on your team like that. ‘Cause this is a once in a lifetime deal here so trying to figure out when I need to shut it off and be at home, but then they come early, it’s just…who knows.”

Right now, he is doing everything he can to keep his upcoming dates as scheduled and then he will get to enjoy some time off around the baby’s due date. Once things get settled at home, he will be back on the road, maybe even sooner than Courtney would prefer, he admitted.

Seeing as how this is the first time Swindell and his wife have ever had to navigate a situation like this, they are still learning each day.

“I think we’ll learn as we go and if something were to happen, hopefully the fans they understand I’ve got to be there for that. But that’s a good problem to have. We’re going to get to do shows and finish up the year with new music and new baby and just putting a new song out at some point. So things are looking good.”

New Album Dropping Soon

This is certainly gearing up to be a big year for Cole Swindell. He also recently dropped some major news regarding his career, letting fans know that his highly anticipated fifth studio album, Spanish Moss, is set to arrive on June 27. His latest preview of the project came with the release of the title track, a deeply personal song that ties back to his roots in Georgia.

“Honestly I’ve never done anything that felt like that, the song, it just felt like a new vibe and just something cool to name a project and I could not be more proud of it…sometimes it all comes together and it just feels how it should. And that’s one of those songs that was worthy of naming the album after. And I think I can’t wait for people to hear all of them. I think it’s just a different stuff than I’ve done before,” he explained.

2025 Happy Hour Sad Tour

Following a run of festival appearances over the summer, Swindell will embark on his 2025 headlining Happy Hour Sad Tour. The trek will launch on September 4 in Toledo, OH and continue through October 26 with stops across Georgia, Colorado, Washington, Florida and more. Priscilla BlockLogan Crosby and Greylan James will serve as special guests.

Jon Pardi Reveals How Dierks Bentley And Luke Bryan Helped Shape His Career

Jon Pardi Reveals How Dierks Bentley And Luke Bryan Helped Shape His Career

While looking back on the start of his career, Jon Pardi credits Dierks Bentley and Luke Bryan for being mentors who he would regularly seek out advice from. These early conversations helped shape his journey as an artist and have since evolved into lifelong friendships.

Back in the day when Pardi was just starting to build momentum, Bentley and Bryan would bring him out on the road with them and show him the ropes along the way.

“Old-ass Dierks Bentley, his old ass,” he joked during an interview with Apple Music. No, Dierks ain’t old. I love Dierks. I’ve done the most tours with Dierks and Luke Bryan. And those guys are brothers and they’ve always been, whatever I’m doing…We started on the first Dierks tour, we had 20 minutes and it was like the first of four, but we were definitely partying then. But still to the day, always there for advice.”

He goes on to remember a moment when he went to the “Love You, Miss You, Mean It” singer for guidance on crafting the perfect setlist. With all the success and hits Bryan had achieved, Pardi was eager to learn from his experiences.

“I remember talking to Luke Bryan about set lists, and he was like, ‘That’s such a good question.’ I was like, ‘What do you guys do,’ because he’s got 30 number ones now, I think. Because you want to play some of the other stuff…Then he talked to me, we talked about set lists. But he thought that was a great question.”

That kind of support early on meant a lot to the California. These days, Jon Pardi doesn’t just see Bentley and Bryan as friends, but more like brothers.

Travis Denning Talks Nursery Prep, Baby Names & More In Heartfelt Life Update [Exclusive]

Travis Denning Talks Nursery Prep, Baby Names & More In Heartfelt Life Update [Exclusive]

With just a few months to go until they welcome their first child, Travis Denning and his wife Madison are more excited than ever to meet their baby girl in July.

The “Roads That Go Nowhere” singer shared an update on how they are preparing for the arrival of their newest family member. He revealed that Madison is “doing good,” the baby is “doing great” and they are all currently getting ready for their baby shower this Sunday.

“We’re very excited. I mean, we’re essentially three months out, it’s going to be a lot of fun,” he told Country Now.

Final Touches Around The House

Additionally, they are putting the final touches on the nursery, making sure it will be perfect for the day they bring their little girl home for the first time.

“We’ve painted the trim in the soon-to-be nursery, I guess last week. And tomorrow we’ve got a guy coming in and putting some wallpaper in, some additional trim. So I think we’re going to be pretty much sitting on being ready in about maybe a week.”

Choosing A Baby Name

The couple is checking things off their list one by one, including one of the biggest tasks of all — choosing a name. Travis Denning shared that they’ve had a name picked out for months and are “very excited” to share it with the world soon.

“We had a couple girl names and if it was going to be a boy, we had one or two boy names, but we were very excited that it was a girl because that’s kind of what we both wanted to start our family with,” he admitted.

While they still have a few more months to go, Travis Denning and his wife have already loved getting to share a few milestone firsts as a family of three, including a special visit to the Grand Ole Opry.

In a recent post, he shared a few photos from the night at the iconic venue and wrote, “Baby’s first Opry visit ❤️ always an honor to stand in that circle.” This experience made them that much more excited about all the future adventures they will have together once their daughter is born.

“I played the Grand Ole Opry I think 17 times maybe, and it’s like you get to do it all over again. And I think that’s the whole magic of having a kid is experiencing life again, just through their eyes and stuff. And whether it’s watching ‘Lion King’ or ‘Hercules’ or going to the opera doing work stuff and having them there, it’s going to be very exciting.”

Travis Denning and his wife announced their major life news on March 23 with a heartfelt Instagram post that featured a few photos of Madison showing off her growing bump. The image found the couple staring lovingly at each other while holding up their sonogram photos.

Madison wrote, “Baby girl Denning arriving July 2025 🎀”

The news came just nearly two years after the couple said “I do” at The Estate at Cherokee Dock in Lebanon, Tennessee following four years of dating.

Denning, while very focused on his family at the moment, also has his hands full with a ton of exciting things happening within his career right now. He is currently gearing up to release new music as an independant artist and has a slew of tour dates on the books.

Jordan Davis Shares Preview Of Next Release, ‘Learn the Hard Way’

Lately, Jordan Davis has been on a hot streak of dropping tunes that have quickly turned into fan-favorites, and he might just have another one on the way. In a new Instagram post, the country star reveals he has a new song titled “Learn The Hard Way” dropping this Friday, April 25.

The post featured a carousel of new images that capture the honest nature of the mid-tempo heartbreak tune. In between those photos is the cover art, which captures Davis walking out on a dock with a fishing pole in hand on a clear, blue skies kind of day.

“Think it’s about time I share some more of what we’ve been working on… My new song, Learn The Hard Way, will be out on Friday,” he wrote in the caption.

Davis has been teasing snippets of the new tune throughout the past week, leaving fans begging for a release date. Today’s news is accompanied by another preview that gives listeners a clearer picture of the story he’s portraying.

The Louisiana native’s signature vocals bring warmth and comfort to a delicate instrumental backdrop, as he flips the script and faces heartbreak for once. This time, instead of being the one to break the heart, like his character usually does, he getting left with the pain of someone else leaving.

I bet you bat a thousand/ At hitting where it hurts and getting gone first/ Aint no easy way around it/ I’m bought to get a taste of my own damn medicine,” he sings with full honestly before admitting, “Never known the broke side of a heartbreak / but I’d say I’m about to learn the hard way.”

He encouraged fans to download his official app to get an exclusive first listen to the song. Plus, he will be hosting a livestream on Friday to celebrate his newest release.

“Learn The Hard Way” follows closely behind Davis’ current single, “Bar None.” The upbeat tune finds the award-winning singer/songwriter once again trying to navigate the rollercoaster of emotions that comes with love. Within the lyrics, he explains that he believes he just lost the best thing I ever had,” and is now left to face a pain that isn’t easy to shake.

In an attempt to pull himself out of his lowest point, he ends up in a bar and comes to the realization that if moving on were a game, he’d be losing one to nothing.

Produced by Paul DiGiovanni and written by Hunter Phelps, Lydia Vaughn, and Ben Johns, “Bar None” follows his latest chart-topping single, “I Ain’t Sayin’,” which recently rose to the No. 1 spot in the US and UK.

All of his recent rereleases, including “Know You Like That,” are set to appear on the soon-to-be dad of four’s highly anticipated next album expected to drop later year.

WSMV4 reports that Sheriff Hall is the one to thank for this major step forward. He personally went to Governor Bill Lee on Jelly Roll’s behalf, and now his actions are starting to pay off.

“A year ago, I wrote ⁦ @GovBillLee ⁩asking for a full Pardon for Jason “Jelly Roll” Deford…..today the Board unanimously recommended his Pardon. It’s now in the hands of our Governor,” Hall wrote in a new post that includes photos of him and the “Liar” singer sharing a tight hug inside the board room after hearing the good news.

According to constitution.congress.gov, if Jelly Roll were to officially receive approval for a full pardon, that would mean he would receive a form of legal forgiveness, thus wiping away the legal consequences of his past convictions—including the penalties—and fully restoring his rights.

“A full pardon granted by the President and accepted by its subject prevents or removes any of the penalties and disabilities consequent upon conviction . . . In several nineteenth-century cases, the Supreme Court suggested that a pardon broadly obviates all legal guilt of the offender, effectively erasing the crime from existence.”

Davidson County court records show that Jelly Roll’s past charges date back to incidents in 2003 and 2008. While serving time, the Tennessee native started to really lean into his passion for music, and found that in doing so, he created a sense of community among his inmates. The moment that changed it all for him was when he learned he had a little girl. From then on, he knew he wanted to make some major changes in life and he did just that.

“I immediately started coming home and selling mixed tapes out of the trunk of my car and just trying to figure it out. And God just kept blessing me, man. I just kept working for it,” he said during a recent appearance on The Jennifer Hudson show.

Jelly Roll has come a long way since his days of being incarcerated. He is now a very successful artist, a proud father to his daughter, Bailee Ann, and a husband to his wife, Bunnie XO. Even among all the fame, he has never forgotten where he came from and the journey that got him to this point.

A big part of his career now involves going back to prisons to perform for inmates and provide a sense of hope that their past does not have to define their future.

Jelly Roll told the show’s host that he feels he was called by the Lord to embark on this mission to go back to these jails and help those who are in the same position he was once in.

“This was kind of a direct from the big man. This was in red. This was written in red. If you read the Bible, I’m reading,” he explained. “And I’m just trying to do what I said I was going to do man and what I was called to do. So I just try to show up. Plus, I’ll be honest with you, Ms. Hudson, I have been in a situation where nobody showed up for me. And if you’ve been in a place in life where nobody shows up for you, anytime you get a chance to show up for people, you show up with bells and whistles.”

When he’s not visiting prisons, touring or making new music, Jelly Roll is sharing his wisdom with the next generation of artists as part of American Idol’s first Artist in Residence.

Carrie Underwood Reveals Her ‘American Idol’ Journey Still Haunts Her Dreams After Two Decades

Carrie Underwood Reveals Her ‘American Idol’ Journey Still Haunts Her Dreams After Two Decades

It’s been about 20 years since Carrie Underwood was crowned the winner of American Idol’s Season 4 competition, but the experience clearly left a lasting mark on her. So much so that she admits the stress and adrenaline of that journey still shows up in her dreams to this day.

Over the weekend, Underwood delivered a stunning performance of “How Great Thou Art” during Idol’s Easter Sunday episode. It was so powerful that fans joked she deserved to win the competition for a second time.

Speaking with Extra’s Terri Seymour after the first live show of the season, Underwood confessed that the show still haunts her dreams more than she’d care to admit.

“I actually have dreams to this often where I’m trying out for American Idol again, even though I won once,” she shared. “In my dream, I’m like, I know that I won. And it’s like, do I want to try out again? Do I think I can win again or what if I lose this time? So no, I don’t want to do that. But it was a great night.”

Returning To The Show As A Judge

Carrie Underwood may not be a contestant anymore, but she’s still a vital part of the American Idol family. This year, she reconnected with her roots deeper than ever before, this time as the first-ever Idol alum to serve as a judge.

“It feels great,” she says of her long-awaited return. “I love that there are so many people that still work on the show after all these years and there’s so many familiar faces. It’s definitely different being behind the desk, but it’s been a lot of fun so far.”

The Tough Side To Her New Role

Along with all the fun the “I’m Gonna Love You“ singer has been having alongside her fellow judges Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie, she admits there have certainly been some more difficult moments too. All three of them faced a very tough challenge this week having to cut the Top 20 down to 14, with the final four picks made by the judges and the rest by America.

“It was a huge cut tonight and it was on us to save people, but I mean that’s the problem when you have so much talent and there really is so much talent,” Carrie Underwood said, explaining why this was so difficult. “We had our deliberation and it was like everybody ended up where it was like, ‘okay, I can live with this,’ even though there’s certainly going to be hopefuls that we’re all going to miss.”

She added, “I will see them in my dreams forever. I will carry guilt with me for the rest of my life.”

The Top 14 contestants will have their next chance to fight for their spot in the competition next Sunday (April 27). With guidance from a guest mentor, the singers will each choose an iconic song from a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame legend to perform, in hopes of securing a vote from America to move into the top 12.

In addition to airing on the network, the show is also available for streaming on Hulu.

Warren Zeiders has made it clear he won’t think twice about kicking someone out of his show for being disrespectful.

During a stop in St. Augustine, FL on April 19, Zeiders was filmed telling a fan in the front of the crowd that he was no longer welcome at the show.

The rising country star was in the middle of performing his new duet with Lanie Gardner, “Love In Letting Go,” when he saw a fan flip him the middle finger. Zeiders immediately called attention to the negativity and shut it down.

“You wanna flip me off again a**hole? I’ll get you kicked out of the f**king show. F**k me? F**k you,” he said sternly.

The Pennsylvania native finished out the tender tune, however he wasn’t done with the disrespectful attendee. He made his way back over to the man and threw some major shade as he commented, “Sorry your wife likes my f**king show and you don’t.”

In the following clip, it was clear that the tension had risen and Zeiders was even more heated. The crowd cheered while the lights went dark, making it easy to see security escorting the rude fan out with their flashlights. Zeiders had apparently lived up to his promise to kick out the fan if he continued to act out, but he made sure to leave the man with one final message – “you’re gonna come to my show and flip me off? Get the f**k out.”

Cheers erupted from the crowd as they followed Zeiders’ lead and excitedly watched the man exit the venue in the arms of the officers. Despite the interruption, the show must go on and Zeiders was happy to get back to the music, starting with “Take It To The Grave,” a track that appears on his newest album, Relapse, Lies & Betrayal.

Jelly Roll And Luke Bryan Bring Shocking Tour Confessions To ‘The Jennifer Hudson Show’

Jelly Roll And Luke Bryan Bring Shocking Tour Confessions To ‘The Jennifer Hudson Show’

Jelly Roll and Luke Bryan recently appeared on an episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show to discuss their respective careers. In addition to their individual interviews, the pair teamed up for a lighthearted round of rapid-fire questions. Both times Jelly Roll was on the couch, he opened up about his personal life and his musical journey— including one hilarious on-stage moment.

The show’s host, Jennifer Hudson started off with a simple question that earned a response she and the live audience were not expecting. She asked the pair, “What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s happened to you while performing?”

Jelly Roll was first to answer. “I pooped myself one time,” he blurted out.

That very honest response left Hudson, Bryan, and the whole audience looking totally shocked.

“I did. I’m sorry. Listen, it was what they call a…,” he went on to say, followed by a word that was bleeped out. “I was confident it was all there. It was not.”

At this point, Bryan was laughing so hard he nearly fell out of his seat. Her chimed in to say, “Well they say never trust one.”

A look of realization suddenly washed over Jelly Roll’s face as he gazed into the audience and noticed the surprised faces.

“I watched this crowd go from loving me to just being completely out,” he joked.

“That’s why we love him right there,” Bryan noted.

Jelly Roll owned up to the fact that he had once again “overshared” in an interview.

Hudson then turned the attention back to Bryan, asking him how he was going to top that answer. Of course, being the person he is, Bryan was ready with a witty response.

“My problem with, I didn’t really get embarrassed about it when I did it,” he said, igniting another round of laughter from the crowd.

On a more serious note, Jelly Roll had a lot more to discuss than just his bathroom incident. In another clip, he was seen talking about his journey to success as a country star, his relationship with his faith, his deep-rooted love for songwriting and his current role on American Idol.

While speaking on the role faith plays in his life, Jelly Roll revealed that he has been “called to be shameless about it.” Because despite the actions of his past that resulted in him spending time behind bars, he still feels that his faith “is nothing short of everything in my life.”

“He’s done so much for me, even when I didn’t deserve it, I’ve actually done the opposite of being deserving of his grace. I’ve done everything I could to spit in his face and not get his grace, And he continued to just pour it on me and love on me in times where I felt unlovable and he taught me to love myself.”

By strengthening his relationship with faith, Jelly Roll has found himself guided to do some incredible work within his community. He’s done so by going back to jails and performing for inmates and preaching the importance of music inside those walls. However, Jelly Roll didn’t stop with his community, he went way beyond that with his new gig as American Idol’s first-ever Artist in Residence. This job allows him to impact a whole new crop of people with the unique experiences he’s had and the lessons he’s learned along the way.

“It’s cool. I’m actually the first artist in residence in American Idol history and…just how I got on your show by just being a fan of yours and begging you, letting me on your show, I got to do a mentoring session at American Idol last season and I harassed production when I left. I was like, I need to do this full time. I was like, I need to come back every year and work with these kids. I call ’em my little Jelly Babies. I love ’em all Jelly Babies,” he shared.

On top of enjoying every minute of working with the contestants, the “Save Me” singer reveals how much fun he’s having with this season’s judges – Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie.

“Carrie Underwood is absolutely killing it. I was such a fan of Katie [Perry] on that show. That was such a big seat to fill and Carrie is killing it,” he gushed.

The Tennessee native continued to sing the same kind of praises for Luke and Lionel, who he says often act like “brothers.”

“It’s the funniest. They’re as funny off camera as they are on camera. They’re a hoot and a holler all the time. Luke also deeper than just American Idol. He has been nothing short of a mentor to me. Luke is, I wish more established artists had the mentality Luke has of just wanting to help people. He has no ego. He’ll show up for you. In any capacity, he can show up for you. Luke has a servant’s heart man, and you see that on the show, dude. He’s there trying to help these kids as much as I am. So getting to work with them judges and getting to fire these kids up and get ’em excited. I mean, we got some talent this year.”

Jelly Roll, who is currently vying for ACM entertainer of the Year, can be found using his talent to guide this seasons competitors every Sunday and Monday night on ABC. Additionally, he will be joining Post Malone on The BIG ASS Stadium Tour and make his way throughout Canada this spring.

Randy Travis Stuns Fans With Hilarious Wax Figure Prank At Madame Tussauds Nashville

Randy Travis Stuns Fans With Hilarious Wax Figure Prank At Madame Tussauds Nashville

Randy Travis pulled off the ultimate prank! A video was recently shared to the country legend’s official TikTok account, capturing the day he pretended to be his wax figure at Madame Tussauds in Nashville.

His wife, Mary, got in on the fun too, helping him move from his wheelchair to the chair where his realistic looking wax figure is usually situated. Dressed in the same signature outfit and holding his guitar, he nailed the pose perfectly and had visitors convinced they were posing with the Wax figure.

While snapping a photo, the unsuspecting fans’ smiles quickly turned to confusion and shock as the singer suddenly started moving. At one point a set of visitors began singing his signature hit, “Forever And Ever, Amen,” and Travis decided to surprise them by mustering up a raspy “Amen” as the camera flashed.

@randy.travis How would you react in this situation? Throwback to when Randy pretended to be his wax figure at @MadameTussaudsUSA in Nashville! #RandyTravis #CountryMusic #Funny ♬ Forever and Ever, Amen – Randy Travis

The heartwarming prank left a slew of fans with an unforgettable memory and proved that even after all these years, Randy Travis still knows how to steal the show.

Those who weren’t lucky enough to be inside the museum for this special surprise took to the comment section to share how they would have reacted if they had been in the presence of the real Randy Travis.

“I would fall to the floor! I love Randy!! ❤️❤️”

“Hearing him sing just that one word, gives me goosebumps! 🥰🥰🥰”

“I’m crying”

“Oh id faint 😭”

“This would make my life”

The Country Music Hall of Famer’s wax figure was unveiled back in December of 2017 as the 50th figure and remains a part of the attraction’s collection of celebrity wax figures.

In order to truly capture Travis’ image, he underwent a “sitting” with Madame Tussauds studio artists in Nashville, during which the research team took more than 300 measurements. To top it all off, Travis donated personal items of clothing to capture his late 1990s style with a suede embroidered jacket, jeans and a 1991 Gibson J-185 guitar.

“I have been excitedly waiting to see the figure in person,” Travis shared at the time. “The Madame Tussauds team did a fantastic job capturing my likeness and I can’t wait for my fans to stop by the attraction to see it for themselves.”

Capturing his image with the wax figure allows the country star’s influential music and 40 years of dedication to country music to be immortalized at Madame Tussauds Nashville.

Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton, George Strait, Luke Bryan, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, Darius Rucker are just a few of the other country stars who have also honored as wax figures at Madame Tussauds Nashville.

Clay Walker To Star In Upcoming Randy Travis Biopic

Randy Travis’ team and family continue to find new ways to honor his incredible impact on the genre. Most recently, he appeared at the Grand Ole Opry to announce that a biopic about his life, titled Forever And Ever, Amen, is officially on the way.

Clay Walker was also present to help share this epic news as he has been cast to portray Randy Travis in the film. Walker will take on the role of Travis in his 40s and 50s while also serving as an Executive Producer.

During a press conference backstage, Walker revealed that it was his idea to create this film to celebrate Randy Travis’ career in a brand-new way.

“No one has ever done as much for country music or been as important to country music as Randy Travis,” he said.

Forever And Ever, Amen will tell the story of Travis’ life in three distinct chapters, with different actors portraying him as a child (ages 9–12), a young adult (ages 20–30), and in his later years.

According to Mary Travis, who will serve as an executive producer alongside Clay Walker and her husband, the film will depict all stages of Travis’ life, even the difficult chapters.

The film is set to be released “sometime in 2026.”

WATCH: Riley Green Taps Carly Pearce For Acoustic Performance Of ‘Don’t Mind If I Do’

Carly Pearce surprised attendees of the 2025 iHeart Country Summit in Nashville when she joined Riley Green on stage to sing an acoustic rendition of his song, “Don’t Mind If I Do.”

Sitting in front of the audience of radio professionals and other members of the industry at the private event, Green performed several of his current fan-favorites like “Worst Way” and the title of his latest project, “Don’t Mind If I Do.” Since the tune was originally recorded as a duet with Ella Langley, Green opted to bring a female songstress out to help him deliver the story properly. Langley wasn’t able to be present, but Carly Pearce was ready to graciously step in.

Riley Green, donning his signature look of boots, blue jeans, a button down and a cowboy hat, took the lead, strumming his guitar while putting his gritty vocals on full display. He effortlessly delivered the first few lines of the heartbreaking ballad on his own before Pearce joined in with her own powerful sound that blended seamlessly with her duet partners.

He encouraged the crowd to show his guest some love before she delivered Langley’s part. A set of powerful emotions filled the room as the pair of country stars depicted the story of a couple struggling to move on.

“And I don’t mind if I do/ Drink up the nerve and show up at your house/ If you wanna know the truth, it’s killin’ me not holdin’ you right now/ I’m one memory away from fallin’ all the way apart/ ‘Cause I might still love you/ And I hope you don’t mind if I do,” they sing on the stirring chorus.

After delivering their final notes, the two singers shared a hug and then Pearce exited the stage, allowing the “Change My Mind” singer to finish out his set.

Fans React Online

Fans who got to see a portion of the performance through videos captured and shared across social media, were quick to point out how good Pearce and Green sounded together.

“i never knew i need this but i’m on the floor about it,” wrote one user while another suggested, “These two should do a duet.”

The project also features fan-favorites like “Jesus Saves,” “Worst Way,” “Change My Mind,” “Rather Be,” and more.

This performance found Riley Green taking a break from the road, where he is currently traveling from city to city on his headlining Damn Country Music Tour.

He recently wrapped up his dates across Canada and is scheduled to return to the U.S. on May 1 with a show in Athens, GA. The trek will run through August with Ella Langley as support, along with special guests Vincent Mason, Mike Ryan, Lauren Watkins, Jake Worthington, Drake White and more.

Carrie Underwood Earns Rave Reviews For Heavenly Performance Of ‘How Great Thou Art’ On ‘American Idol’

Usually, American Idol fans can find Carrie Underwood watching the show’s contestants sing their hearts out on stage while she sits at the judging panel alongside Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie. However, during last night’s episode, she got her time to shine on stage with a beautiful delivery of “How Great Thou Art” in honor of Easter Sunday.

The smoke-filled stage and heaven-like images cascading across the screens set the perfect tone for Underwood’s performance. She caught the attention of viewers first with her sparkling long baby pink gown with ruffled sleeves, and then with her breathtaking vocals that filled the room.

She started off soft, letting the faith-filled words of the well-known Christian hymn sink in before slowly building with emotion and strength. Fellow judges Richie and Bryan expressed true awes as her voice soared effortlessly through each note, showcasing her impressive amount of control, especially during the final chorus where she unleashed a full goose-bump inducing belt. Simultaneously, the room lit up as the images glowed brighter than ever before and the audience waved their candlesticks from side to side.

Her heartfelt vocal delivery was elevated by a powerful gospel choir that stayed by her side through the final note. As confetti rained down from the ceiling, it marked a breathtaking and fitting end to the faith-filled episode.

“How Great Thou Art” has become a powerful tune in the first-time Idol judge’s catalog. She released a live version of the hymn with Vince Gill for 2014’s Greatest Hits: Decade #1 album and then recorded a solo studio version for 2021’s My Savior album.

It was clear from last night’s standing ovation that the live audience as well as her fellow judges and Idol’s Artist in Residence Jelly Roll were beyond impressed by the performance.

After the show aired, viewers watching from home got their chance to share opinions on the performance, and it’s safe to say, Carrie Underwood was the talk of the night. Her unbelievable delivery on stage earned nothing but the highest of praise from fans on social media.

One user even went as far as to say that it was so incredible, it felt as if she won the show for a second time. “I’m pretty sure Carrie Underwood won American Idol for a 2nd time after that performance! Absolutely beautiful!”

Others admitted they were “Totally blown away” by last night’s run of performances for Easter Sunday, especially Underwood’s closing delivery.

“The Easter episode, the voices, the display of faith & Carrie Underwood ending with How Great Thou Art. An episode for the ages.”

Someone else said, “OK, that was … wow. Carrie Underwood had the Holy Spirit working that room.  What a way to end an #Easter Sunday!”

Underwood wasn’t the only judge to take the stage last night, as Luke Bryan sang the tune “Jesus ‘Bout My Kids” from his latest Mind Of A Country Boy record while Jelly Roll joined GRAMMY winning Christian artist Brandon Lake in performing “Hard Fought Hallelujah.”

Fans will have to tune into ABC tonight, Monday April 21 to find out which contestants will make their way into the Top 14. American Idol airs every Sunday and Monday with episodes available for streaming on Hulu the next day.

Luke Bryan Reflects On Faith And Fatherhood In Powerful ‘Jesus ‘Bout My Kids’ Performance On ‘American Idol’

Luke Bryan Reflects On Faith And Fatherhood In Powerful ‘Jesus ‘Bout My Kids’ Performance On ‘American Idol’

Luke Bryan delivered an emotional performance of “Jesus ‘Bout My Kids” during a special faith-filled episode of American Idol on Easter Sunday. He shined a light on his faith and fatherhood with lyrics that hit close to home for many parents.

While the Georgia native is generally known for his party anthems and late-night drinking songs, he took a step back to showcase a more personal side of him. Sitting on a stool in blue jeans and a brown-denim button up, Bryan delivered his emotional ballad that finds him reflecting on how his journey of parenthood and faith has come full circle.

Throughout the stunning tune, Bryan’s raw vocals capture the real journey of a parent, starting with trying to teach his kids about Jesus. He reflects on doing his best to “steer ‘em straight” by sharing lessons about faith and trying to answer any questions they may have. However the older they get, the more he realizes that their connection to religion starts to fade, leaving him with only one thing to do – ask the Lord to “please watch ‘em.”

“I used to talk to my kids about Jesus/ How He lived and died and rose again/ I used to talk to my kids about Jesus/ Now I talk to Jesus ’bout my kids,” Bryan sings on the chorus.

Bryan’s heartfelt performance on American Idol clearly resonated deeply with the audience, as he poured his emotion into every bit of vulnerability and realness behind the lyrics. His own connection to the song was also evident as images of his family lit up the screens behind him.

“Jesus ‘Bout My Kids” appears on Luke Bryan’s latest album, Mind Of A Country Boy. The 14-track project marks his eighth studio album and showcases his passion for the country lifestyle as well as something much deeper – his family.

Through songs like “Jesus ‘Bout My Kids,” “Pair of Boots,” “Fish On The Wall,” and “For The Kids,” Bryan gives listeners an honest glimpse into his real experiences with trying to navigate the ups and downs of parenthood. While he claims he didn’t intend to make the album as personal as it is, he found himself drawn to these topics as it reflects into where he’s at in life right now.

He got to showcase this journey through the song that is “very meaningful” to him during last night’s episode of American Idol. When he wasn’t performing, Bryan was helping guide the show’s remaining contestants.

On Sunday, the competition continued to spotlight the Top 24 rising stars. Unfortunately, four contestants —Kyana Fanene, Grayson Torrence, MKY, and Penny Samar—were eliminated, leaving the Top 20 to fight for their spot in the Top 14 in tonight’s episode, where viewers will see another round of epic performances from the stage in Hollywood.

American Idol now airs both Sundays and Mondays on ABC, with episodes available for streaming on Hulu the next day.

WATCH: Jelly Roll Joins Brandon Lake For Moving Performance Of ‘Hard Fought Hallelujah’ On ‘American Idol’

WATCH: Jelly Roll Joins Brandon Lake For Moving Performance Of ‘Hard Fought Hallelujah’ On ‘American Idol’

“American Idol” brought faith to center stage this Easter Sunday, celebrating the holiday with a lineup of moving performances from the Top 24 contestants as well as a few special guests. One of the most powerful moments of the night came when the show’s first-ever artist in residence, Jelly Roll, teamed up with multi-GRAMMY® Award winner Brandon Lake to showcase their collaborative version of Lake’s smash hit, “Hard Fought Hallelujah.”

The pair of artists clearly struck a chord with the live audience and Idol judges as they unleashed a stunning delivery that was further elevated by the vocals of a gospel choir surrounding the stage in their all-white ensembles.

Lake softly began the tune as Jelly Roll stood behind him, waiting for his turn to showcase his soulful voice. When it was time for the country hitmaker to shine on the mic, he poured his heart out among the soulful vocals that highlight his dedication to his faith, especially in hard times.

The singer’s lifted their hands up high and united on the emotive chorus, singing “I’ll bring my hard-fought, heartfelt/ Been-through-hell hallelujah/ I’ll bring my storm-tossed, torn-sail/ Story-to-tell hallelujah, whoa-oh/ God, You’ve been patient/ God, You’ve been gracious/ Faithful, whatever I’m feeling or facing/ I’ll bring my hard-fought, heartfelt, it-is-well hallelujah, oh/ Hallelujah, hallelujah.”

Their performance earned a standing ovation from the audience. Once they wrapped up their unforgettable delivery, Idol’s host Ryan Seacrest joined the artists on stage to introduce Lake to the judges and also help announce his new music.

First, Lake pointed out that this was a full circle moment for him because despite the fact that he is “such a huge fan” of the show, he admitted he was always “too afraid” to audition.

“I’d have voted for you, baby,” Jelly Roll joked.

The “That’s Who I Praise” singer also got the chance to officially meet one of his musical heroes, Carrie Underwood, who claimed that Lake is a “staple” voice heard throughout her house and her car. He gave a high pitch scream before sharing a hug with Underwood.

Seacrest proceeded to ask Lake to share details regarding his upcoming album, King Of Hearts, which is set to feature his collaboration with Jelly Roll. The project will be dropping on June 13 and will be accompanied by a headlining tour of the same name, kicking off this fall and running through spring of 2026.

The Journey Of “Hard Fought Hallelujiah”

Penned by Brandon Lake and Jelly Roll alongside Steven Furtick, Benjamin William Hastings, Chris Brown, and Rodrick Simmons, “Hard Fought Hallelujah,” was originally released as a solo recording in November 2024. It debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Digital Songs chart, as well No. 51 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. In February, the Christian artist released the brand-new version featuring Jelly Roll to Country radio.

“Collaborating with Jelly Roll on Hard Fought Hallelujah was powerful because we both understand what it’s like to walk through battles and still choose to lift a song of hope,” Lake shared at the time of the song’s arrival. “My prayer is that this song reminds people not to give up—that even in the hardest seasons, there’s growth, purpose, and a victory worth singing about.”

Jelly Roll matched his excitement for the collaboration, saying, “Working with Brandon was an incredible experience. This track touched my soul like few others. ‘Hard Fought Hallelujah’ is a song that will echo through my home for years to come.”

This performance on Sunday night’s episode of American Idol took place as the competition continued to shed a light on the next generation of talent. At the end of the show, four contestants were eliminated, including Kyana Fanene, Grayson Torrence, MKY, and Penny Samar. Tonight, Monday, April 21, the Top 20 contestants will fight for their spot in the Top 14 with another round of live performances from Hollywood.

American Idol will continue to air Sundays and Mondays on ABC as well as being available for streaming on Hulu.

Koe Wetzel Gets A Taste Of The 9-To-5 Life At Raising Cane’s With Founder Todd Graves

Koe Wetzel Gets A Taste Of The 9-To-5 Life At Raising Cane’s With Founder Todd Graves

Koe Wetzel is widely known for his hard-hitting tunes and rowdy stage presence, however this week, he swapped out his usual gig for something a bit more corporate. The country-rocker clocked in as a crew member for the day at Raising Cane’s Dallas-area Restaurant Support Office, getting a crash course on the fast-paced world of chicken fingers and customer service from his good friend and Raising Cane’s founder, Todd Graves.

Throughout the day, the pair filmed content around the office, testing out their acting skills with some hilarious skits that highlighted the day-to-day duties of a Cane’s crew member.

Raising Cane’s is one of the fastest-growing Restaurant brands, with 900+ Restaurants in 40+ states, and plans to open more than 100 new Restaurants across several new markets in 2025. Since opening its doors, Todd Graves has often teamed up with artists, athletes and other celebrities as a way to establish wide-spread marketing for his company while also creating meaningful partnerships with a shared passion for giving back.

Wetzel’s connection to Raising Cane’s—and to Graves—runs deeper than your average brand partnership. Since their first meeting about three years ago, the pair have developed a genuine friendship built on a mutual love for music, the outdoors, and a good time. Graves and Wetzel have racked up some great memories over the years, from annual trips to sharing a suite for Super Bowl LVI at SoFi Stadium, and more.

The “Damn Near Normal” singer also previously worked a “shift” at the Raising Cane’s food truck with Graves, during which he performed his song “February 28, 2016” and swapped out the lyrics from “Taco Bell” to “Raising Cane’s.”

“We have the same love for the outdoors and stuff like that and just a lot of common interests,” Wetzel told Country Now and other outlets. “I think getting out there and just having a good time is kind our main focus whenever we’re together. And he has been a big help and he does so much for so many people. He is just a great dude and it’s cool to be his friend and hell, we get along pretty damn good…I’m very happy to be a part of the Raising Cane’s family.”

“I’ve always been a big fan of Koe’s music and love that he hasn’t changed his style over the years. He continues to do it his way and is highly respected in the country music community and throughout Nashville by artists of all sizes,” Graves added. “Koe and I first got together when I invited him to the Cane’s suite for Super Bowl LVI at SoFi and we had a great time. He’s a genuine person who has determination, passion and a vision for his music, and that’s one of the things I love most about him. I get inspired by people who are out there doing things and chasing their dreams and Koe and I have that in common and so much more.”

One of their stand-out memories was made during their annual trip to Montana, when Wetzel had a unique request for Graves. He asked the Cane’s founder to give him a chicken finger tattoo on his thigh. After carefully completing the one-of-a-kind design, that Wetzel joked looks like the state of Kentucky, graves added his signature touch with the initials “TG.”

“I always receive crazy gifts when I’m on tour, and on this tour in particular they gave me a tattoo gun. Todd and I had a fun night and thought it would be a good idea for him to give me a tattoo of a Chicken Finger,” said Wetzel. “It turned out looking more like the state of Kentucky – I sure hope his tattoo skills have gotten better!”

“We were in Montana for one of Koe’s shows and ended up being on a two-hour delay due to lightening. We had some drinks, and Koe wanted me to put a tattoo of a Chicken Finger on his leg with ‘TG’ under it,” Graves said, sharing his side of the story. “I’d never given anyone a tattoo, but proceeded to give Koe one and I think I pressed a little too hard, because I went to put more ‘crust’ on it and Koe said, ‘No more!’”

At the end of the day, Wetzel and Graves both have a strong work ethic for their individual passions and found a way to turn their dreams into reality, even if it took overcoming a few obstacles to get there. Based off their experiences and wisdom learned over the years, their pair each offered a some words of advice to any fellow dreamers out there.

“Todd and I have always stayed true to ourselves. All we know is what we love and what we do. We both have dreams and goals and we’ve talked about that; but it’s not about being the best or number one, it’s about taking care of friends and family, keeping your head down and being a good person,” said Wetzel. “My advice to anyone chasing a dream is to be true to yourself, always remember where you came from, and be good to people.”

“Koe and I focus on what we’re good at and do exactly that. I always tell people who are chasing a dream, ‘Imagine how hard it is and multiply that by infinity.’ Koe making it in the music world is just as hard, if not harder, than building a Chicken Finger business. We both started small, stayed focused, and then grew across the country and beyond,” said Graves. “Everyone tells you why it won’t work and why you won’t be successful, but if you believe in yourself, you’ll make it.”

While Koe Wetzel gave it his best shot at the different jobs he was tasked with at the establishment, it’s safe to say he won’t be trading his artist career for a 9-to-5 job anytime soon. However, if he were to, he revealed the first thing he would do is change the iconic menu item, Caniac Combo, to the Koeniac Combo for February 28, coinciding with his fan-favorite tune.

Roman Alexander Talks ‘Tying One On’ And Overcoming Setbacks: ‘I’m Not Going Anywhere’ [Exclusive]

Roman Alexander Talks ‘Tying One On’ And Overcoming Setbacks: ‘I’m Not Going Anywhere’ [Exclusive]

When Roman Alexander first heard his just-released single, “Tying One On,” he wasn’t expecting to be recording new music any time soon. However, he was convinced to give this song a chance and it ended up being the perfect track to introduce his next musical chapter.

The track came to him in a text from his manager, Melanie Wetherbee, after earning approval from several other members on his team. “I think my team had heard it a lot before. It was circulated between three or four people. My team’s relatively small, I make it sound like it’s an army, that heard it first. But I heard it via text and I was in the car,” he recalled.

At first, he remembered brushing it off thinking he wasn’t in the space to be cutting anything else for his next project. “I was like, ‘yeah, that’s good.’ And then I didn’t really listen to it again for a few more days… I didn’t really think we were going to be recording any new music for a while. So my headspace was like, we’re already done recording,” he admitted to Country Now.

However, after giving the track another listen, he finally understood what everyone had been hearing all along.

“I listened again and I was like, ‘okay, this is great.’”

Roman Alexander is no stranger to cutting outside songs, in fact, he welcomes any opportunity to expand his catalog with the best songs out there. That was the case with “Tying One On,” which was penned by Jessi Alexander, John Morgan and Will Bundy.

“I’ve kind of leaned on that in the past, even with my first project back in 2020. Nashville’s a town with so many great songs floating around, some that never get heard. So why not give that a chance and give the songs a chance to be heard?,” he pointed out.

The Meaning Behind The Story

The tune showcases Roman Alexander’s smooth vocals on a hook that sticks amid a moody melody, highlighting the sting of heartbreak. He tries to find comfort from his place on the barstool, throwing back “the hard stuff” after making every other attempt to get over the woman for good. While his mind is clearly flooded with thoughts, he manages to turn a night of drinking into a quiet moment of reflection.

“So pour ’em tall and strong/ I got nothin’ left to lose/ I’m working on gettin’ her gone/ Knockin’ back that straight 80 proof/ I tried everything for the hurting/ But that moving on ain’t working/ So tonight I’m tying one on/ To cut her loose,” he delivers on the gritty and raw honest chorus.

There’s a familiar ache running through “Tying One On,” one that fits perfectly into Alexander’s catalog of signature love and heartbreak tunes. Even though the lyrics center around drinking to cope with heartache, Alexander admits he has since stepped away from that lifestyle.

“I recorded in time when I was still drinking. I don’t drink anymore, but I don’t disassociate myself to drinking songs. I’m not oblivious to it. So that’s just a personal choice of mine,” he noted.

Watch The Official Music Video

Still, the visuals for “Tying One On” had to match the song’s theme, which resulted in some humorous moments on set of the music video, like when he opted to use apple juice in place of whiskey. He reveals that the video was shot in one take as they were limited on time, but luckily, he pulled it off with ease.

Alexander is seen walking out of a house with his rageful ex yelling in the background and throwing his clothes all over the lawn. He eventually strolls up to a lemonade stand turned whiskey bar at the end of the driveway, offering free pours to anyone willing to join him in numbing the heartache.

“I love acting. I’ve never done much of it, but that’s the one thing I think long-term in my career I really want to get into is to be multifaceted and branch off and get into acting,” he revealed. “So any chance I can to film video or try to do that kind of stuff, I take every opportunity.”

Navigating Major Career Changes

The shift in mindset he experienced with “Tying One On” didn’t just apply to the song. Roman says this season of life marks a turning point for him after having experiencing some major career changes. He explained that 2020 and 2021 turned out to be great years for him despite everything happening in the world at the time. Since most people were spending all their time at home, his music was being consumed at a rapid pace, which then allowed him to tour shortly after.

After that, things took a turn. Reflecting on a particularly difficult chapter in his career, Roman opened up about the series of setbacks that nearly derailed his momentum. This included sveral changes within his team and a potential record deal with a major label that went south.

“This is probably the most upfront I’ll be about any interview I’ve done recently,” he admitted. “Twelve6 has stood by me, my label, they’ve not left. They’ve stood by me. I’m so thankful for them, but I had a manager jump ship, I had a booking agent jump ship, I had a business manager jump ship. It all happened in the same week. It started feeling like the world was starting to collapse a little bit.”

Ready To Finally Get New Music Out To His Fans

During the period of negotiation that lasted about eight months, Alexander wasn’t able to record or release music, so when that opportunity came to an end, he got right back to work, eager to get new music to the fans who had waited long enough.

“I really hate that I’ve let people wait this long. I mean, music consumption happens so fast these days that if you tease a song on a Monday and it’s not out by that Friday, it’s an old song to them or it’s just irrelevant in most cases. And so you really have to work hard to keep it alive…So I think people are just excited to get something new.”

Now, with a fresh perspective and a new song in motion, Alexander is finally stepping into his next musical era in full force. He plans to ease into this chapter starting with “Tying One On,” which will then be followed by a few more individual releases before dropping a new EP in August.

What His Next EP Will Entail

While he says this new music is not a complete “reinvention” of himself, he is going to tape into his “older and more mature” mindset and will eventually start to move away from his string of breakup themed tunes.

“As weird as this sounds, I feel like I’m kind of a man for the first time in my music career. It’s like I stopped seeing it about chasing girls so much. I feel like my phases are always a couple years behind because you’re always trying to…it’s like the fans are seeing you two years before and they’re not always seeing you in that current moment. So I think right now we’re going to start moving out of the breakup phase eventually, and then hopefully this next chapter is not all love, but just something that just feels a little bit more open and free,” he shared. “I think we’re getting there with this.”

Hailing from a family of trailblazers, Roman Alexander has always embraced the drive to chase his ambitions—and that same determination is fueling his journey in music today. Fans will have the chance to get a deeper look into his personal life with his next song release. This tune will allow him to share his personal story like never before, proving that there was no plan B when it came to his career, music was always the end goal.

“I’m not going anywhere. I’ve had my head kicked in the dirt a few times, but each time I get back up I keep doing my thing and I keep just trying to make better music and I’m really loyal to the people around me,” he said, proudly. “And I think I can sometimes be misunderstood for that because of my branding can kind of come across mysterious or I don’t know what people conceptualize, but I know for me I’m incredibly loyal, loving, I care about music, but I also keep my circle small.”

He continued, “I think that shows in that song and trying to help paint a picture of who I am and hopefully that evolves. I’m kind of a free spirited dude at the same time…I have a little bit of addiction and adrenaline. I think I always kind of live life on the edge a little bit. I play rugby, I race cars…All these little things, life’s too short and not to have fun.”

With this new music, Roman Alexander is also hoping to create a stronger demand for him to embark on a tour sometime this year. He hasn’t found the opportunities to be on the road much over the past few years, however, he is going to slowly start building that back up in 2025. He promised that there will be a few chances for fans to catch him on stage, which will hopefully be announced soon.

Why Ian Munsick Believes ‘Eagle Feather’ Is His Most Important Album Yet [Exclusive]

Why Ian Munsick Believes ‘Eagle Feather’ Is His Most Important Album Yet [Exclusive]

After introducing fans to the wild, untamed beauty of the American West on White Buffalo, Wyoming native Ian Munsick is ready to dive even deeper into his world with his third studio album, Eagle Feather.

Out now via Warner Music Nashville, the 20-track project pays tribute to the people and places that shaped Munsick while deepening his exploration of the landscapes, communities, and traditions that fuel his music. White Buffalo introduced lessons of prosperity and rebirth while Eagle Feather represents honor, strength and wisdom.

The Meaning Behind The Album Title

Munsick explained to Country Now that he was inspired to name his next project after the native symbol when he was adopted into the Crow tribe and gifted an eagle feather during his debut at the iconic Red Rocks amphitheater. Since his previous two albums were also named after animals, and this one represents what he calls “the pinnacle of my career,” the title made perfect sense.

“Toward the end of our show, I got adopted into the Crow Native American tribe and they gave me an eagle feather as a gift of becoming a part of their culture. Growing up in Wyoming, that’s just a very big honor for me and just for being an ambassador of the West. So I came up with the title just out of honor for them and for the honor of Western culture as a whole,” he explained.

Once he had the title, the music followed closely behind with lyrics that celebrate the spirituality of the Eagle Feather, which is an item that only a Native American can own or be gifted, according to Munsick. He then connected the rarity of the symbol to the uniqueness of love—and the idea of giving your one and only heart to someone special.

“When I had that idea, I was like, ‘Man, I just don’t know how many co-writers are going to understand this thought.’ But I had a day with Stephen Wilson Jr. and I just know how unique his writing brain is, and I figured that he would be able to wrap his head around that concept,” he pointed out. “I told that to him and he started to just strum and we wrote that probably in an hour. It’s definitely a pretty unique structure for me. There’s a lot of imagery and repetition, which I think that is just kind of cool for it to not be the same formula that’s written over and over again on Music Row.”

The Wyoming native went on to showcase moments of personal growth obtained through real-life experiences when writing 18 of the songs, the other two being outside cuts. Many of his ideas stem from his home state, however the creativity is brought to life in the studio in Nashville, where he now lives with his wife, son, Crawford, and his soon-to-be-born daughter.

Exploring Outside Cuts

Music City has given Munsick the opportunity to work with some of the best writers and musicians in the world. Sometimes, that also means getting to write with fellow singer/songwriters like Caitlyn Smith and Stephen Wilson Jr., both of whom are credited on this record.

The two rare outside cuts that made it onto the album are “Drink Around” and “Horses Not Hearts.” Before these songs, Munsick had only recorded one other song that he didn’t write, so he wasn’t used to having people write tracks with him in mind. However, he admits it was a “really cool experience” seeing the talented songwriters bring his mission to life even when he wasn’t in the room.

“We weren’t really looking for anything in particular, but when I heard ‘Horses Not Hearts’ for the first time, I was really like, man, there’s no way that these guys just kind of wrote this randomly. They had to have been like, alright, we’re going to get a to cut. And I called them and I was like, ‘Hey guys, did you write this me or just kind randomly?’ And they’re like, ‘no, we wrote it because we heard that you wanted one more song.’ I was like, ‘damn, well, this is going to be on my album.’ That was kind of a no brainer.”

He went on to discuss his connection to the other outside cut, “Drink Around,” saying, “I always like to have a little bit of humor and lightheartedness to balance out the more heavy, nostalgic, spiritual anthems that I also have. So when I heard a ‘Drink Around,’ pretty much it just got stuck in my head the first time I heard it. I was like, man, I cannot get this thing out of my head, and I’ve only heard it one time. I have to record that.”

Snagging Lainey Wilson As A Duet Partner

The project, which was produced by Munsick, Jared Conrad and Jeremy Spillman, also features two duets – “God Bless The West” ft. Cleto Cordero and “Feather In My Hat” ft. Lainey Wilson.

Munsick and Wilson have become major supporters for each other over the course of the eight years they’ve known each other. He got the chance to watch her career reach new heights first-hand while serving as support on her past tours. Their collaboration came to be during a stop in New York when Munsick presented the Louisiana native with two different tracks. While she fell in love with both of then, “Feather In My Hat” ultimately stuck with her the most.

“I think that ‘Feather In My Hat’ just really resonated with her because one, she wears one in her hat. So that was kind of a no-brainer, but also she recently found the love of her life with Duck, and I obviously have a great wife in my wife Caroline. So I think that she was able to really feel that love and that specialness and not just being a trophy for somebody, but being the wings on their back. So that one, just very, very honored to have her on there.”

Bringing The Project Full Circle With ‘Prairie Lament’ Interludes

Interlaced between the songs are three tracks that range from 40 seconds to a minute, including “Prairie Lament i,” sitting as the very first top of the project, “Prairie Lament ii” in the middle and “Prairie Lament iii” at the second to last song.

“This is the first album that I’ve made that I really feel like before we started to record it, we really had an idea of what the album was going to be. So we were able to create an actual album and not just throw a bunch of tracks out and call it an album. We were able to really make a cohesive project. And I think that a big part of that is having those threads throughout it to connect it together,” he explained.

“I have had the music written for that a couple of years ago, but I could never really find the lyrics. But ‘Prairie Lament,’ I felt like was just kind of this classic 1800s kind of idea that your longing for the Prairie, but also how ruthless the Prairie is, and just tying that kind of old school theme with how you die a little slower in Wyoming and the place that you love. To me, I think it makes the album a little bit more cohesive.”

Sharing His Mission With The World

It’s safe to say that Ian Munsick’s mission of bringing the West to the rest has had a major impact on music lovers all over the world. So with the release of Eagle Feather, he gets to continue to carve out his lane in the industry by carrying on the traditions of the western way of life and always being true to himself.

“I’m just very, very proud of what we’ve been able to build and I think that this next album will just to continue to build that,” he shared.

Ian Munsick is currently headlining his spring 2025 Horses Are Faster Tour featuring a rotating lineup of support including Colby Acuff, Avery Anna, Chayce Beckham, Bayker Blankenship, Kashus Culpepper, Hudson Westbrook and Jake Worthington. Later this year, he’ll join Cody Johnson for several dates.

Riley Green’s Sweet Meet & Greet With Young Fan Hadley Is Melting Hearts Across the Internet

Riley Green gave an adorable little girl named Hadley a night to remember on Saturday (April 12) ahead of his performance at The American Rodeo at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.

During the meet & greet, Green shared a special moment with Hadley, a sweet 2-year-old with Down syndrome. Her mom captured the heartwarming interaction on video—and it’s melting hearts everywhere.

The clip, which has already racked up nearly 900,000 views, shows little Hadley making her way over to Riley Green, who towers above her. With a big smile, she walks right up to the country star, and he kneels down to greet her and snap a few sweet photos.

Hadley’s mom, Autumn, recalled the memorable moment she first told her they’d be meeting Riley Green.

“When I asked her if she wanted to go meet Riley Green, she laughed, smiled and put her hand over her mouth acting bashful,” she shared.

The moment was certainly one they “won’t ever forget.”

“When we met him, she started waving to him and smiling real big. It brought joy to me seeing how happy she was. Everyone loved her. This sweet gentleman even gave Hadley a Riley Green guitar pick,” Autumn revealed. “It was such a really special and neat experience.”
