Sam Hunt will not face charges following his reported arrest for alleged speeding in Henderson County, Tennessee.
According to a report by TMZ, Hunt was pulled over on January 20 for driving too fast. He was then arrested and taken to jail for allegedly exceeding the speed limit and violating an interlock device – a breathalyzer installed in a vehicle to prevent drunk driving. With this device, the driver is required to provide a breath sample before the car can start. It is currently still unclear as to how Hunt violated the device.
The “Country House” singer wasn’t in custody long. He was released the same day on a $1,500 bond. On Jan. 29, a rep for Hunt told TMZ that his lawyer “cleared the paperwork in court this week and there will be no charges.” The outlet was informed that a speeding ticket was issued and will be paid.

Hunt has yet to share a statement with the public.
It has been over five years since Hunt made headlines after his arrest driving under the influence back in 2019. The singer/songwriter was reportedly taken into custody after police responded to a call of a vehicle driving the wrong way down a road in Nashville. At the time, it was determined that his blood alcohol content level was .173.
Hunt pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor charges in August 2021, and received a sentence of 48 hours at the DUI Education Center where he was required to complete an alcohol safety course before being released. As a result of his arrest, his license was revoked for a year, and an interlock had to be installed in his car.

Since his 2021 arrest, Sam Hunt pushed the gas on his career by touring and treating fans to a slew of new music drops that captured the growth he’s also experienced within his personal life.
Last November the Georgia native announced that he and his wife Hannah were expecting their third child. They are currently parents to daughter Lucy Louise, 2½, and son Lowry Lee, 14 months.
His music career continues to make waves within the genre, most recently with songs like “Country House,” “Locked Up” his 10th No. 1, “Outskirts” and his latest release, “Liberty.” However, as his family continues to grow, the singer explained that he plans to take a step back from touring to spend more time at home.

“I’m hopefully — in the next couple years — going to take a break from touring,” he said in an interview on Audacy’s Katie & Company podcast in November. “The crowds have been so great and I want to get out there and tour while my kids are really young and they’re able to come with me…and while people are interested in coming to see us because I don’t want to take that for granted.”
Sam Hunt is expected to perform at various fairs and festivals throughout the summer. His first show is set for May 3 at the Moody Center in Austin, TX.
