Parker McCollum Invites Laci Kaye Booth To Make Her Opry Debut

Laci Kaye Booth has been invited to take her career to the next level and perform on the iconic Grand Ole Opry stage on March 29.

She learned of the milestone news on Saturday, Feb. 22 during the final night of the first leg of Parker McCollum’s “What Kinda Man” arena tour. In the midst of McCollum’s set, he asked Booth to join him on stage and gave her the floor to showcase the clever tune “The Loneliest Girl In The World” off her latest album of the same name. What she didn’t expect was for her fellow Texan native to bestow this major surprise in front of the crowd at Alliant Energy Powerhouse in Cedar Rapids, IA.

McCollum sat next to the songstress on the steps, swaying along to the powerful story and then informed her he had “one more thing” to say before letting her walk off stage.

“I really do love that song and I wanted you to come up on stage and sing it, but I also wanted to tell you that on March 29, you are being invited to make your Grand Ole Opry debut,” he shared with excitement.

A look of shock washed over Booth’s face as she took in McCollum’s words. She thanked her tourmate, shared a hug and made her exit with a bright smile.

“Thank you so much,” she said while the crowd cheered in support.

“I’m so incredibly grateful and honored,” Laci Kaye Booth shared later. “I’ve waited six years in Nashville, and my whole life before that, for this very moment. I can’t believe it’s here. What a beautiful experience, made even more special by one of my favorite artists and Texans, Parker McCollum.”

Upon sharing the news in a post on Instagram, she received kind congratulatory messages from fellow female artists such as Ella Langley, Lainey Wilson, Carter Faith, Mackenzie Carpenter and more.

Booth will follow in the footsteps of legendary artists like Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Combs, Lady A, and many more who have stood inside the iconic circle at the Grand Ole Opry before her. Following her debut, Laci Kaye Booth will take the stage at the Sand in My Boots 2025 Festival in Gulf Shores, AL, on May 16.
