Matt Stell had a very eventful weekend. The rising country star took to social media on Monday evening to announce that he and his girlfriend, Kasey Harvey, got engaged and tied the knot all in the matter of two days.
The couple was on vacation in Mexico when Stell popped the question on Friday (Jan. 3) and they were so eager to make their love official, they said “I do” the next day.
“What’s up, y’all Hope your Christmas and New Year’s were great. Ours was because on Friday we were in Mexico and we got engaged,” Stell said as his now wife showed off her shiny new ring.
He went on to reveal the second half of this milestone news, “That was on Friday and on Saturday we got married. I’m not joking. She married me on Saturday. How about them apples?”
The remainder of the post featured a slideshow of images capturing their eventful weekend. Stell can be seen getting down on one knee on the beach with the waves crashing behind them and a pile of sand that had the words “will you marry me?” carved out. Kasey was donning a stunning mini red dress for the occasion while the “Breakin’ In Boots” singer sported kaki pants and a white button down.
The newlyweds received many congratulatory messages from Stell’s community of fellow singer/songwriter including longtime friend and collaborator George Birge who wrote, “Yes!! Love y’all,” Raelynn who gave a rowdy “CONGRATS!!!” and Travis Denning who came in with a bit of a teaser as his comment read, “Does this mean you’re cuttin that one song we wrote”
What We Know About Matt Stell’s Relationship
Over the summer Matt Stell officially hard launched his other half on social media and then the lovebirds made their red carpet debut at the 2024 CMA Awards. It’s unclear how the pair met, but Stell did share of bit of insight their relationship during an interview on The Bobby Bones Show in June.
At that point, he explained they had only been official for a few months, but felt as though things had been moving quicker than usual due to them being long distance.
“I feel like there’s, anytime it’s a long distance thing, things get sped up because you’re seeing each other, then you’re not seeing each other, then you’re not,” he shared.

We also learned that Kasey is a civil and environmental engineer who, at the time, had already received the approval of Stell’s family members.
“She got one question wrong on her SAT,” he said proudly bragging about her knowledge before joking, “I’m the question she got wrong on her SAT.”
Despite the fast-paced nature of their timeline, Kasey was quick to shut down any possible rumors in their latest post as she wrote, “Btw not pregnant… and I took about 34748503 tequila shots to prove it.”
New Music On The Horizon
The multi-platinum artist released his debut album, Born Lonely, on June 7 via RECORDS Nashville and has since been dropping one teaser after another, letting fans know that new music is on the way.
He currently has a variety of shows and festival dates on the books for 2025, kicking off with a set at the Ponderosa Lounge & Grill in Vancouver, WY on January 18.
