Lauren Alaina and her husband Cam Arnold are expecting their first baby! She unveiled the major life update in the brand-new music video for her sentimental song, “Those Kind of Women.”
The cinematic footage finds the songstress reflecting on the females who raised her and made her the woman she is today. Appearing in the doorframe of the nursery, she watches as the character portraying a soon-to-be mom prepares to welcome her little one into the world. The camera then focuses on a chalk board with a list of boy and girl names written out. The women ultimately decides on the name Lauren, making it clear to viewers that Alaina is watching the story of her own upbringing unfold.

She continues to watch as the younger version of herself grows up and forms a strong bond with her mom along the way. One minute the girl is seen trying on her mom’s wedding gown and the next, Alaina appears as her grown-up self, looking in the mirror admiring the same elegant white dress. And of course, her real-life mom Kristy Suddeth, is right by her side as she’s been since day one.
The country singer’s stunning set of vocals evoke the most heartfelt emotions as she pays tribute to all the best memories from her childhood, as well as the lessons she picked up along the way.
“I was raised by those kind of women/ Rocked to sleep on Dolly and Dylan/ Set ya straight with a fly swatter whippin’/ You can always smell love cookin’ in the kitchen/ Knew how to make a man listen/ Keep a little rainy day coffee can cash hidden/ And whatever kinda/ Hell they were goin’ through/ Jesus was right there with ‘em/ I was raised by those kind of women,” Alaina delivers on the chorus of the tune penned by Lainey Wilson, Derek George, Lynn Hutton and Monty Criswell.
In the following clip, Alaina reveals she is taking the next step in life and gearing up to become a mom herself. She holds onto her growing bump while her mom watches from the other side of the crib, exuding just as much excitement about expanding their family.
Once the screen goes black, the formal pregnancy announcement is made with a statement that reads, “This video is dedicated to my Momma and our sweet Baby Arnold coming summer of 2025.”

This news comes nearly one year since the “Thicc As Thieves” singer and Arnold tied the knot on February 14, 2024. The pair first met in Riviera Cancun, Mexico for Luke Bryan’s annual Crash My Playa music event. While backstage of the event, they crossed paths at a taco stand where they had their first conversation.
“Apparently I ate my tacos really fast and he was like, ‘Nobody’s gonna take those tacos away from you!’ First thing he ever said to me. And that was when I knew,” she shared with Entertainment Tonight.
This moment led to them exchanging numbers and according to Alaina, Arnold instantly had a clear vision of their future together.

“I gave him my number, but he came home and told his best friend, ‘I met the woman I’m gonna marry,’” she said. “And I did not leave Mexico feeling that way, but he was right. I’m gonna marry him.”
It turned out, his gut feeling was correct. They fell in love and announced their engagement on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry in November of 2022. Alaina surprised the audience by bringing him out on stage and introducing both him and the shiny ring on her finger.
“Everybody, this is my fiancé. I told him he had to come out here and we had to get a picture, so, we’re doing it because this is the circle and I’m going to hold my hand up and do the thing. Make some noise for my future husband everybody!”
In addition to gearing up to start her chapter as a first-time mom, Lauren Alaina is set to hit the road with Rascal Flatts on the trio’s Life Is A Highway Tour. She currently has performances booked through the end of May.
