Lainey Wilson has just revealed that she has a new duet on the way, but she’s staying tight-lipped on who the mystery artist is that will be joining her.
She dropped the major teaser over the weekend while co-hosting the Country Countdown USA with Lon Helton, just after leaving the studio with her unnamed duet partner. When Helton pressed for more details, Wilson stood firm in her requirement to keep the secret under wraps. However, she did tease that it’s something she is “proud” of and that it will be unveiled soon.
She said, “I can’t tell you right now! They gonna slap my hand. It’s a quick turn around. Somethin’ I’m proud to be a part of and somethin’ I’ve not done. It’s real cool. I’ll tell you after we’re done.”

Past Collaborations
The reigning ACM and CMA Entertainer of the Year winner is certainly no stranger to collaborations. In addition to her chart-topping solo efforts, the reigning ACM and CMA Entertainer of the Year winner has recorded a slew of collaborations throughout her career.
She has released duets with artists including Miranda Lambert (“Good Horses”), Dolly Parton (‘Mama, He’s Crazy”), Wynonna Judd (“Refugee”), Keith Urban (“Go Home W U”), HARDY (“Wait in the truck”), Terri Clark (“Poor, Poor Pitiful Me”), Anne Wilson (“Praying Woman”), and Muscadine Bloodline (“Pieces”), to name a few.
Several of these star-studded tunes have also earned Wilson major milestones in her career, such as her collaboration with Jelly Roll on “Save Me.” Following its release in the summer of 2023, this fan-favorite spent two weeks at No. 1 on the Country Airplay chart and scored a Grammy nomination for best country duo/group performance.
“I did a few takes and after each one, Jelly stood up behind the glass, all hype, talking about how much he loved it and pumping me up before the next take. He has this way about him where he can encourage vulnerability and feeling just through his genuine excitement and the way he lifts you up,” she previously told Billboard of recording the track.
Prior to that, she and Cole Swindell earned a two-week Country Airplay No. 1 hit in 2022 with “Never Say Never.”
“She happened to be on vacation somewhere and she was sipping on a piña colada. That was the longest three-and-a-half minutes of my life, waiting on her to respond,” Swindell shared while recalling the moment he asked Wilson to join him on the song. “She’s such a great songwriter herself, I knew she was going to be a tough critic. But immediately she texted me back. She’s like, ‘This is so huge. I’m in.’”
Most recently, she appeared on Post Malone’s debut country album, F-1 Trillion, with the track, “Nosedive.”
Lainey Wilson continues to make waves in country music, whether she is working solo or with her fellow singer/songwriters. The news of her forthcoming duet follows the announcement of her biggest tour yet. She will kick off the global run in March and visit 10 cities across Europe, including London and Paris, before returning to the U.S. just in time to make a slew of festival appearances.
