Kip Moore Takes A Fearless Step Forward With ‘Solitary Tracks,’ His Biggest Album Yet

Kip Moore has dropped his sixth studio album, Solitary Tracks, via Virgin Music Group. This unapologetic project serves as his biggest and boldest record to date, proving once again that he’s not afraid to follow his instincts and keep moving forward on his own path, even if it means doing it alone.

There’s no denying that this collection of 23 songs split over four sides is something unlike we’ve ever heard from Moore before. From top to bottom, fans will join the multi-platinum singer/songwriter on his exploration through new spaces of creativity and soul-stirring storytelling. Sonically, he pays tribute to his strong country roots and gritty vocals that have developed over years of hard work and dedication, while showcasing a next-level intensity.

Co-produced by Moore with Jaren Johnston and additional production by Oscar Charles and Jay Joyce, each part of the project displays both personal and professional growth for the artist as he solidifies his confidence in his own gut-instincts.

“There’s no pattern you have to follow, and sometimes you gotta gamble on yourself,” Moore shared. “You gotta be bold enough to trust your gut, and willing to roll those dice if you believe something. I’m never going to cheat by just trying to write what I think people want to hear, or hold onto a sound that worked for me. I have to constantly stretch and go where I need to go, or it’s going to be disingenuous. I’m going to always be authentic with myself, with every record, and all I ever hope is that people find a little solace. This project is a journey in itself, so I hope it helps people navigate their own life.”

New Music Video

Accompanying the full album is the official music video for the title track, “Solitary Tracks.” Moore never once makes an appearance in the video, but instead his vocals serve as the soundtrack to the story of an aspiring singer’s journey to finding her voice and a confidence in embracing the kind of “lone wolf” spirit that is celebrated within the song.

In the beginning of the footage, the female artist appears to be in a somber state with fear driving her away from her goals, but as the narrative continues to unfold, the powerful rock anthem breaks her out of her shell, leading her to find her rightful place in the spotlight.

“Just lookin’ for somethin’, ain’t never gonna find/Hell-bent stubborn, yeah, we’ll probably die tryin’/Ain’t never been ones to run with the pack/Just a couple lone wolves makin’ solitary tracks,” Moore sings on the heart-pounding chorus.

Along with the title track, Solitary Tracks spawns a slew of other stand-out songs including “Bad Spot,” “Around You,”  “Live Here to Work,”  “Learning As I Go,” “Flowers in December” and “Wildfire.”

Kip Moore will kick off his Solitary Tracks World Tour this spring, with dates across Canada, Europe, and the UK. Following this trek, he will embark on a run of US tour dates over the summer with Billy Currington.
