Kenny Chesney Promises Big Things In 2025: ‘This Year Is Going To Be Unlike Any Other’

Kenny Chesney sent fans into a frenzy earlier this month when he teased “new experiences” to come in 2025 alongside a photo from rehearsals. Since then, fans have been speculating about what he has planned for the year and it appears they will finally get their answer on Thursday, Jan. 16 when he appears on NBC’s TODAY show to unveil the news.

The eight-time Entertainer of the Year is not only set to appear on TODAY during the 8 am hour, later that evening, he also will visit The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon as the “lead guest.” No performance is confirmed for either appearance, so fans can expect the East Tennessee native to spill all the details about his plans for 2025 during the interviews.

“I have always been one to let the music do the talking,” he acknowledged. “I think when we’re onstage, connecting with No Shoes Nation, nothing else really needs to be said. When they sing these songs back to me, that says everything.

“That said, this year is going to be unlike any other. This is one time when I probably do need to get out and explain exactly what we’re up to. But for now, I can say this: I am incredibly ramped up about what we’re in the middle of making happen for 2025. It’s one of those things where you can’t just throw it out there – so I am really glad we’re getting to spend some time at ‘TODAY,’ then ‘The Tonight Show.’”

Chesney, who recently earned his milestone 33rd No.1 single with “Take Her Home,” has kept his plans for this year completely under wraps. There’s been no tour announcement and fans have speculated about Las Vegas residencies, international tours, and much more. No matter what he announces on Thursday, No Shoes Nation can rest assured that the music will be at the heart of it all.

“The thing about so many of my songs is they’re pieces of people’s lives,” Chesney said. “Almost everyone can see themselves in there somehow. To me, singing people’s reality and hopefully showing them how sweet life can be sets a pretty cool bar.”

He continued, “There’s nothing like No Shoes Nation when they come together. It’s the greatest high there is. We’ve been pulling songs out that we’ve not played in years, so who knows?”

In 2024, Chesney released his new album BORN and brought his massive Sun Goes Down Tour to stadiums across the country. He closed out the trek with an epic three-night finale at Gillette Stadium.

The superstar’s latest single, “Just To Say We Did,” is at country radio now.
