Throughout his career, John Morgan has earned critical acclaim for his innovative songwriting that has earned hits for both his catalog and many of his fellow country stars. On Friday, Morgan shared some major news that will give fans yet another reason to celebrate his thriving career – his debut album, Carolina Blue, will officially be unveiled on Friday, April 25.
The North Carolina native will present 12 tracks, all of which he co-wrote and co-produced alongside Brent Anderson. A series of complex layers are said to be intertwined within this forthcoming collection of songs, while touching on the various relationships a man can have with women throughout his life through stories told from his momma’s kitchen or the one who stole his heart.

“With Carolina Blue, I hope there’s relatability in the songs we chose and that the lyrics within them strike a chord,” John shares of his excitement of the debut. “I’m a dad and married and in a different stage of life than I was when I first moved from North Carolina to Nashville. I don’t try to be anything I’m not. I’ve never been good at that and know folks can snuff that out pretty quick. I hope these songs give people a message that there’s value in whatever they are doing. Most of the people that hear this are working the blue collar jobs I’d be doing if this wasn’t working, and I want them to hear their stories and feel their worth in this album.”
The record will feature previously released tracks such as “I Know Better,” “Long Ride Home,” and his latest track out now, “Crickets.” His groovy new tune captures the fun-loving energy of a classic country love song amid a mid-tempo melody curated directly from the sounds of mother nature.
