Nearly four and a half years since the release of her debut album, Caylee Hammack returns with her sophomore project, Bed Of Roses. 

Out on March 7, the 13-track release highlights the Georgia native’s knack for vulnerable storytelling and covers topics of life, life and loss. 

“We all have different experiences, but we also have similar heartbreaks,” the 30 year old points out. 

Hammack had a hand in writing 12 of the album’s 13 tracks and also co-produced various tracks with Dann Huff and John Osborne of Brothers Osborne. 

“Your bed of roses is the bed you make – you get to decide how you spend your time and how you plant your garden,” Hammack says. “Good love is flowers that come back every year. Bad love, it’s just the thorn. Sometimes you got to till shit up. You’ve got to work through things and it’s not going to be fun. And then one day, your friends come over and you sit as a family on the back porch in the garden. And when they compliment the roses near the gate or the cherry tomatoes speckled about in the pasta, you get the pleasure of realizing,  ‘I grew that, I put love, time, and belief into something and it paid off.’”  

Inspired by a brief romance that never fully blossomed, the title track “Bed of Roses,” written by Hammack, Jeff Hyde, and Benjy Davis, serves as the heart of her sophomore album. With its vibrant anthem, swampy groove, and powerful vocals, the song centers on finding inner peace that a temporary partner can’t provide. Hammack views it as the opening of a garden gate, inviting listeners in.
