Lainey Wilson Surprises Fans with Rooftop Show at Her Nashville Bar

Lainey Wilson gave fans in downtown Nashville the ultimate surprise over the weekend. The country star popped up for an impromptu rooftop concert at her very own bar, Lainey Wilson’s Bell Bottoms Up, on Sunday afternoon. The performance celebrated the release of her brand new song, “Bell Bottoms Up,” and just so happened to land perfectly on National Bell Bottoms Day.

The song is a nod to Lainey’s iconic style and shares its name with her bar, which officially opened last year on May 31. To mark the occasion, the bar announced that one dollar from each specialty “Bell Bottoms Up” drink sold will go to Wilson’s Heart Like a Truck Fund, which supports causes close to the artist’s heart.

While the performance was not formally announced, eagle-eyed fans spotted a hint on the bar’s Instagram Story that read, “y’all get your bell bottoms up to the rooftop today at 2pm! Xo, Lainey.” Sure enough, fans flooded the rooftop and were met with a stage decked out in artwork matching the new single.

Dressed in a bold leopard-print suit and her signature black cowboy hat, Wilson performed the brand new track along with fan favorites like “Watermelon Moonshine,” “Hang Tight Honey,” and “Wildflowers and Wild Horses.” She even shared a personal update with the crowd before launching into her Top 5 hit “4x4xU.”

“I’ll play y’all a love song because your girl done fooled around and fell in love. I got engaged about a month ago,” Wilson said, proudly flashing her engagement ring. “I’m so excited for this next chapter of my life.”
