Morgan Wallen is heading back to Saturday Night Live! The country star has been announced as the musical guest for the March 29th episode, with Mikey Madison, star of Best Picture winner Anora, as the host.
This will be Wallen’s second time performing on the show—but technically, he’s been booked three times. He was originally set to appear in October 2022, but was cut from the lineup after breaking COVID protocols, when a video surfaced of him partying maskless at a bar in Alabama. SNL gave him a second chance that December, where he performed 7 Summers and Still Goin’ Down, and even poked fun at the situation in a skit.
While there’s no official word on what songs he’ll play this time around, fans are buzzing about the possibility of a new album announcement. Last Friday, Morgan posted a teaser of a song called “Just in Case” on social media and confirmed that his new album is officially done. Could this be his big moment to drop it?
(And if you’re looking ahead, SNL also announced Jack Black will host April 5th with Elton John & Brandi Carlile as musical guests, followed by Jon Hamm & Lizzo on April 12th.)
