Craig Morgan Releases ‘American Soundtrack’ EP, Reflecting On Faith, Family And Patriotism

Craig Morgan is starting his time on Blake Shelton‘s tour with the release of brand-new music.

The country hitmaker and Army Reserve soldier has just dropped his American Soundtrack EP through BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville. All but one of the six songs on the project were co-written by Morgan, who also co-produced the EP with Phil O’Donnell.

“I believe most people in this nation can relate to something in each song on this project. I absolutely love songwriting,” Morgan shared. “God has given me a gift that allows me to impact other people’s lives. That is a blessing and I’ve learned not to take it for granted.”

Morgan has always been a voice for the hard-working, God-fearing individuals who form the backbone of America. Every song on American Soundtrack reflects his deep faith and patriotism, embodying the values that define him as both a singer and a soldier.

“I try to celebrate God, family and country in my music and in everything I do,” the Tennessee native explained. “That’s what I have always done and I’ve come to realize it’s my platform. I don’t stress about things as much as I used to. I just try to write, sing, produce and play the best music that we can and go where I think God wants me to be.”

The project arrives just in time for Morgan’s run with Shelton on the Friends & Heroes” 2025 Tour.

While chatting with Country Now last fall, Morgan reflected on his friendship with Shelton.

“I love Blake…He and I have been friends for over 20 years. When I shot the ‘Redneck Yacht Club’ video, he was in my video and we’ve been friends before that,” he shared. “And he’s the kind of guy that if he and I were not doing this business, he and I would still be friends.”
