Jelly Roll Planned To Take A Break From Touring The U.S. In 2025, Then Post Malone Called

Jelly Roll had a wild and crazy 2024, which saw him headlining his biggest tour yet, releasing a new album, and more. So, when he laid out his plans for 2025, the superstar had initially planned to take some time off from touring (at least in the U.S.) and enjoy some down time at home with his wife, Bunnie XO, and their family.

In fact, he announced this news to the world during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show in early November when he shared, “This is breaking news for Jelly Roll. I’m not going to headline a tour in America next year. It’ll be my first year not headlining a tour in America since 2020, but before that it was like 2012. It’s been a long time, so I think we’ve done enough this year.”

A few days later, Jelly Roll was announced as a special guest on Post Malone’s The BIG ASS Stadium Tour, running April 29 through July 1.

This news came as quite a surprise to Jelly Roll’s fans as it debunked his previous statement. Well it turns out, it also came as a bit of a surprise to Jelly Roll himself because the tour came together so quickly and happened after a simple conversation with Post Malone.

“It didn’t even seem real how fast the tour came together. Post hit me and was like, ‘We should tour,’ and I’m like, ‘I’m always in, anytime.’ Sure enough, the next day Live Nation hit management and said they want to do Jelly on his tour. From us agreeing to it, to announcing it was like 12 days, it was crazy,” he revealed to Nashville Lifestyles. “What’s even funnier is I planned on taking next year off [from touring], so the cool thing is if you wanted to see me next year, you can now. It worked out perfectly. Go Post; shoutout to Post.”

Despite his plans to have some down time in 2025, Jelly Roll is now set to join Post Malone on The BIG ASS Stadium Tour in addition to headlining an extensive run of shows throughout Canada this spring and several major festivals this summer.
