Eric Church and Luke Combs Named Co-Recipients of CRS 2025 Artist Humanitarian Award

The Country Radio Broadcasters (CRB) have announced that Eric Church and Luke Combs will be co-recipients of the prestigious CRS 2025 Artist Humanitarian Award. This honor will be presented on Friday, February 21, 2025, during the annual Country Radio Seminar (CRS) in Nashville.

This year’s award celebrates the extraordinary efforts of Church and Combs, who raised an incredible $24 million in under a month. The funds were driven by a record-breaking October 26 stadium concert in Charlotte that drew an astounding 82,000 fans. Remarkably, their teams managed to organize the event in just 28 days—an achievement that typically takes over a year of planning.

Eric Church’s Efforts

Through his nonprofit, Chief Cares, Eric Church has committed to building 100 homes for families displaced by Hurricane Helene. The initiative begins in Avery County and aims to address both immediate and long-term needs by creating jobs, rebuilding schools, and supporting local businesses. Additionally, Eric made the heartfelt decision to sign over all publishing royalties from his latest album, Darkest Hour, to directly benefit the people of North Carolina.

Luke Combs’ Contributions

Luke Combs is working closely with North Carolina-based relief organizations to ensure funds reach those who need them most. His contributions support efforts by groups like Samaritan’s Purse, Manna Food Bank, and Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina, providing critical resources to families in need.

A Community-Driven Award

CRB Awards Committee Chair Beverlee Brannigan praised the artists, stating:
“Eric Church and Luke Combs’ love for their home state has been nothing short of inspiring. Their dedication to helping North Carolina recover after Hurricane Helene and their ongoing efforts show just how much they care. This award is a heartfelt recognition of their commitment, hard work, and genuine compassion for the people of North Carolina. Eric and Luke, we’re proud to honor you.”
