Tim McGraw To Headline First-Ever Concert Event At The Iconic Field of Dreams Farm

Tim McGraw is set to deliver a historic performance that combines his love for music with his deep connection with baseball. Today (Jan. 16) U.S. Concert Agency (USCA) along with their ticketing partner, StubHub, announced McGraw as the headliner for the first-ever all-day concert event at the iconic Field of Dreams in Dyersville, Iowa.

On August 30, the 3x GRAMMY-Award winner will bring his must-see life show to the 193-acre farm that has become a symbol of American culture. The lucky attendees will get to experience a once-in-a-lifetime event that is slated to offer more than just a night of live country music. It also presents fellow music and baseball lovers with the rare opportunity to step foot onto the iconic location made famous by the movie and join in the history-making moment.

Honoring McGraw’s Late Father, Tug McGraw

This is destined to be an unforgettable performance for McGraw, not only because of his passion for the sport, but also because it falls on what would be his father and MLB legend, Tug McGraw’s 81^st birthday.

Tug played as a relief pitcher in the Major Leagues from 1965 to 1984. He won World Series championships with both the New York Mets in 1969 and the Philadelphia Phillies in 1980 and is known for his “Ya Gotta Believe” catchphrase. The “Standing Room Only” singer and his father had a complicated relationship throughout their time together. In fact, McGraw didn’t even know Tug was his biological father until he was 11 years old. Once he turned 17, the pair grew closer, and Tug even helped kickstart his son’s music career. Unfortunately, in 2004 Tug passed away from brain cancer at age 59. He has since been inducted into the New York Mets Hall of Fame and Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame.

Tug’s years playing for the Mets and Phillies left an indelible mark on the game, and his legacy will be honored by his son in this unforgettable celebration. Additional opening acts will be announced in the coming weeks.

USCA has partnered with StubHub as the Official Ticket Partner for the event. Starting on January 20, 2025, tickets will be available through StubHub’s platform. Fans will have access to a variety of ticket options, including General Admission, VIP, and exclusive Home Run VIP packages. Pre-sales for the event will begin on January 20, 2025, with general sales launching on January 24, 2025.
