The new year is just getting started, but there are already so many exciting country music events on the horizon, including the Academy of Country Music Awards.
Your favorite country stars have been working so hard all year long in hopes of securing a nod (or multiple) at the upcoming award show and in a few short months, they will all come together under one roof to celebrate milestone wins and deliver unforgettable performances. Plus, this year is expected to be an extra special show as it marks the 60th annual ACM Awards.

How To Watch
Viewers can tune into the Academy of Country Music’s “biggest party yet” on May 8, 2025 when it airs live from the Ford Center at The Star, the world headquarters of the Dallas Cowboys in Frisco, TX. Produced by Dick Clark Productions, the show will stream exclusively on Prime Video to a global audience for a fourth consecutive year as part of the ACM Awards’ partnership with Amazon.
Which Country Icon Will Host?
Following last year’s show, 16-time ACM Award-winner Reba McEntire announced that she would be returning to reclaim her hosting duties yet again. This will mark the country icon’s 18th time hosting or co-hosting the event, more than any other artist in ACM history.
“It’s gonna be an absolute can’t-miss show and I can’t wait to be there with you,” McEntire said in a video shared across the ACM Awards’ official social media pages.
Who Votes For The ACM Awards?
Each year, the ACM Award winners are determined through a voting process by ACM members. The process begins with a submissions period, which opened on Jan. 6, 2025 and closes on Jan. 17, 2025, for both the ACM Awards and the ACM Radio Awards. During this time, artists and their work can be submitted for nomination as long as they meet the eligibility criteria for the period spanning Jan. 1, 2024, through Dec. 31, 2024.
The first round of voting will then begin on February 10. Voting is not open to the public, only professional members will take part in the selection process.
