Not everyone is a fan of Lonely Road, the new Jelly Roll and Machine Gun Kelly collaboration that borrows the melody of the John Denver classic Take Me Home, Country Roads, while adding new lyrics.

A person on social media named “Karen Z” said, “How long will it take for [them] to get sued for Lonely Road sounding exactly like Country Roads, Take Me Home by John Denver?” (That’s not the title, Karen.)

Jelly Roll saw it and responded, “We cleared it with the John Denver estate . . . and they love our interpolation of the song. I appreciate your legal advice though, Karen.”
