Country singer Scotty McCreery made headlines after stopping his concert in Colorado during the first song. McCreery witnessed a man strike a woman in the audience, which led him to intervene from the stage.
McCreery addressed the situation saying, “Hey, Hey, Hey. That’s a lady you just hit, sir… Absolutely not. Police, security, is she okay? On God’s green Earth at a Scotty McCreery show. What are you doing?”
The singer instructed the nearby audience to assist security in identifying the aggressor. He didn’t mince words, saying, “Let the cop know who hit the lady. That’s absolutely unacceptable. Whoever you are, that’s the definition of a coward hitting a lady. Get the heck out of here, buddy.”
The disruptive fan was promptly removed from the venue, reportedly “taken out in cuffs and hauled away by patrol units.”
