Jelly Roll is gearing up for the release of his eagerly anticipated album. Beautifully Broken, the follow-up to his hit album Whitsitt Chapel, will be released on Oct. 11.
The musician, who has openly shared his past battles with addiction, announced that all net profits from pre-orders of the album on his website will go to organizations committed to aiding individuals grappling with mental health issues and addiction.
Billboard reports that the four organizations that will benefit are the Wounded Warriors Project, Folds of Honor, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, and Shatterproof.
Jelly Rolly recently sat down with the “New York Times” for an in-depth interview and talked about the intention that goes behind his music. “I’m looking for songs with a purpose. When I go to put out a song under the name Jelly Roll,” he shared. “I think to myself, why? Because for the first time in my life, it has nothing to do with a financial decision. I’m well past putting out anything for money. So now, it really is a why.”
Jelly Roll’s Beautifully Broken Tour kicks off tomorrow in Salt Lake City. The tour will cover 37 cities, concluding in Jacksonville, Florida on November 23rd. The tour features a dynamic lineup of openers; Warren Zeiders and Alexandra Kay will open the first half of his stadium shows, while Ernest, Shaboozey, and Allie Colleen will take on the second half.
