Country singer Ingrid Andress sang the national anthem at the MLB Home Run Derby Monday night, and the performance did not go well. Andress, a four-time Grammy nominee, attempted an a cappella version of “The Star-Spangled Banner” at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, which was widely panned on social media.

I’m so sorry, I’m sure Ingrid Andress is a wonderful person, but that was one of the worst national anthems I think I’ve ever heard in my whole life.

The singer, known for her top 10 hit with Sam Hunt, “Wishful Drinking,” took to Instagram on Tuesday to apologize and revealed that she was under the influence of alcohol during the performance. “I’m checking myself into a facility today to get the help I need,” Andress wrote. “That was not me last night. I apologize to MLB, all the fans, and this country I love so much for that rendition.”
