Dwayne Johnson is returning to the Fast and Furious franchise.
This is a huge surprise as The Rock has insisted that he was done with the action franchise after feuding with star Vin Diesel.
Johnson broke the news that he’s going to star in an untitled Fast project on Thursday. According to The Hollywood Reporter, “This new movie is not a spinoff a la Hobbs & Shaw [which starred The Rock], nor is it a Fast 11 or Fast 12. Rather, sources say, the movie will act as a bridging chapter between Fast X and Fast 11 — more of a Fast X.5, if you will. It is expected to star other Fast actors as well.” But Diesel, so far, is allegedly sitting this one out.
