The 2022 Grammy Awards took place on Sunday (April 3rd) with appearances by country singers Brother Osborne, Chris Stapleton, and Carrie Underwood. Miranda Lambert, however, was absent from the 2022 Grammy Awards, despite receiving two nominations.
The singer was nominated for
Best Country Duo/Group Performance with Elle King for “Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home)” and Best Country Album for Marfa Tapes, along with Jon Randall and Jack Ingram, who were in attendance.
She cited scheduling issues for not being able to appear. Talking to ABC Audio ahead of the ceremony Miranda said, “I’m slammed this month, with the record coming out and everything.”
She added: “I got to play on the Grammys last year, and I got to take one home, and I was just so thankful. I’m grateful for what I already have.”
Miranda made time though to show up for a surprise appearance at her Nashville Bar, Casa Rosa.
