Walker Hayes played the Chiefs-Bengals halftime show in Kansas City on Sunday but things didn’t go quite as planned.
Due to an audio mishap, Hayes’ performance ending up drowning out the CBS analysts trying to do the mid-game roundup. James Brown, Nate Burleson, Phil Simms, Boomer Esiason, and Bill Cowher were seen trying to discuss the game while basically yelling over the sound of Walker performing “Fancy Like” and “AA”.
Naturally, Twitter had a field day. One person wrote, “Who scheduled a football game in the middle of a Walker Hayes concert?” Another said, “We’re getting a halftime show and a halftime show at the same time.”
This is the greatest halftime show in football history. Do this every week. Make it louder. Use fireworks. I need more of this.

Walker posted a clip of it joking on Instagram, “Didn’t know @cbstv was having us today but I heard I sounded great” and tweeting, “@CBSSports, thanks for having me.”
