This guy sparked a debate today started when he shared on Twitter that he and his wife switch which side of the bed they sleep on some nights.
What?? Who does this? You have a set spot and you sleep there for the rest of your life. But for Steve and his wife, this isn’t the case.
We were just chatting in work and apparently it’s weird that Amy and I don’t sleep on the same side of the bed every night. Some nights I like to sleep by the window, some nights the door. It’s not really that unusual, is it?

and he clarified with this
Feel like I need to point out the following:
1. First one in chooses
2. We’ve never disagreed over it
3. We move pillows and books as we move
4. We don’t change every single night
5. Neither of us are aliens— EndDirectProvisionSteveORourke (@steveohrourke) March 24, 2019
After he shared the initial tweet, it went viral and people were on the attack.
And here I was at 36 thinking I couldn’t be surprised any more by what other people get up to in bed pic.twitter.com/GO3g2e80LG

Give it a few years and that will be the lead bit of evidence in the Netflix documentary about you

I’m sorry now…you don’t have a set seat at the table either? So every time you go to sit down, you just sit in a different seat? Wow.

Yep, my husband and I not only have “our side” of the bed but we have our seat at the dinner table. SO much so that just for fun, we painted our initials on the bottom when we were refinishing them!
he still didn’t get why people think it’s weird
Well.. Its just.. I don’t.. You have a side of the bed, and that’s your side of the bed, and they have theirs. And that’s that. It’s a bit like saying, “I think I’ll go sleep in the neighbors house tonight”..
