Last month, rumors swirled that Dierks Bentley might be gearing up to compete on Survivor, but the country star has finally set the record straight.

Dierks explained that he was simply trying to support a friend who he thought would be a great contestant, but somehow, the conversation shifted to him possibly joining the show.

“I can’t believe this is a possibility,” he admitted. But his 14-year-old daughter quickly shut down the idea, telling him, “Dad, you’re a beast when you don’t sleep, and you would probably get canceled. You would probably say something absolutely crazy and get canceled.”

With that reality check, it sounds like Dierks won’t be roughing it on Survivor anytime soon. When asked about the possibility, he laughed it off, saying, “For now, I’m just gonna be a fan.”

For now, we’ll just have to enjoy Dierks onstage—not on an island.
