Ella Langley has made country music history with her duet alongside Riley Green, “You Look Like You Love Me,” hitting #1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. This milestone marks the first time in nearly a year that a female artist has claimed the top spot.
The last time a woman reached #1 on the chart was December 2023, when Lainey Wilson and Jelly Roll’s “Save Me” took the honors. Langley’s success ends a 51-week drought for female artists, the longest such stretch since 2004.
Ella shared an adorable throwback photo saying, “That little girl has the #1 song at country radio today. Been dreaming this dream for as long as I can remember. I’ve talked about wanting to do this for as long as I can remember. I haven’t lived a single day where this wasn’t the plan. The thing about a dream is, it’s just a dream. Today it feels real. This past year, it’s felt real. Thank you for listening and sharing and believing.”
