Blake Shelton is taking a fresh approach to fan merch, and it’s delightfully simple — and maybe a little silly. The country star dropped his new single “Texas” earlier this month and is gearing up for his Friends & Heroes Tour in February. To celebrate, he launched some merchandise that fans are loving for its humor and honesty.
In a video shared on social media, Blake joked that his past merch was “embarrassing” and overproduced. So, this time, he decided to take matters into his own hands and design some items himself.
For $15, fans can grab a set of four red cups that read, “I Drink, Get Over It.” The phrase nods to a cup Blake had on stage during a Florida show in 2016, when rumors were swirling that he was in rehab. (Spoiler: he wasn’t.)
The pièce de résistance, however, is a black t-shirt selling for $40. It features a candid photo of Blake that he claims to have snapped on his phone — looking less-than-sober — with the straightforward caption, “I Bought This Shirt from Blake Shelton.”
Blake says the design is intentionally honest because, as he puts it, “That’s what people are looking for these days.”
