This past weekend, Jelly Roll made his debut as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live, and fans were eager to see if he’d test out his comedy chops.
As it turns out, he did—but his big skit was unfortunately cut from the live show due to time constraints.
This happens often on SNL, but it’s still a bummer when a guest’s moment gets the axe. The good news? SNL didn’t let it disappear forever! The show posted the full skit on its YouTube channel, giving fans a chance to see Jelly Roll’s comedic side.
The sketch was a parody of Game of Thrones and its prequel series, but instead of watching House of the Dragon, the characters were watching something called Blonde Dragon People. Things take an even weirder turn when, towards the end of the skit, comedy legend Andy Samberg and Jelly Roll enter the scene dressed as characters from The Lord of the Rings.
Though the skit is hilarious, it runs over six minutes, which is probably why it was cut from the live broadcast. So if you’re in the mood for a laugh, check out the video below—it’s a fantasy mashup you didn’t know you needed!
