The new “Sunday Night Football” opening theme song was just released, and Carrie Underwood has, once again, fired us up for football season.

Since 2013, Underwood has been the voice behind the beloved opening theme, “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night,” a role she took over from Faith Hill.

This year, Underwood has already teased fans with a snippet of the 2024 opening theme song, heightening anticipation for the NFL action to come. The season officially begins on Thursday, September 5th, with full Sunday games starting on September 8th.  The season opener on Sunday night promises an intense match-up as the Los Angeles Rams take on the Detroit Lions at Ford Field.
