Morgan Wallen was forced to postpone his concert a couple of hours before it was set to start on Friday night in Tampa.  The singer shared that he powered through the previous night’s show and woke up feeling, “way worse.”

I hate to reschedule shows but I powered through being sick in Tampa last night, and unfortunately woke up feeling way worse today. I would not give you guys anywhere near 100% tonight and as a result, I need to move tonight’s Tampa show to Oct. 4 and next week’s Charlotte shows…

During his performance, Jelly defended Morgan saying,

“I wanted to say this early in the show, because I want to make no mistake about this. Morgan Wallen is a dear friend of mine, who is so sick I could not believe he did that show last night. This isn’t no bullsh*t.

I’m gonna stand up for my friend when it’s right to stand up for my friend. My friend is sick, y’all. My friend is sick as sh*t, and you post that sh*t on the internet. Cause my dude is sick as f*cking sh*t y’all. I told him don’t do the show last night, I told him.

I’m glad he took the day to rest his body. I was heartbroken, I didn’t want to leave without singing some music for some motherf*****s that came out fr this.”
