Carly Pearce Reveals Heart Condition Diagnosis: “Take Care of Your Body and Listen To It”

Carly Pearce has shared that she has been diagnosed with pericarditis, a condition characterized by inflammation of the sac-like tissue surrounding the heart. According to the Mayo Clinic, pericarditis can cause significant discomfort and requires careful management.

The singer took to Instagram to update her fans about her health struggles, emphasizing her commitment to honesty and transparency. “I have always been transparent and honest about every area of my life, so I feel like this deserves the same honesty,” she said in a video. “You guys know that I have been dealing with some health issues. Through that, I’ve developed something called pericarditis, which is a heart issue.”

Despite this diagnosis, Carly is determined to continue her music career. “I’ve been working with doctors and talking to my cardiologist, and I still want to be out on the road, it’s really important to me, but we have all decided that it is in my best interest as I’m healing to alter my shows a little bit,” she explained. “So, if my shows look a little bit different, just know it’s because I have to keep my heart rate under control right now.”

She reassured her fans that this is a temporary measure for her well-being. “That doesn’t mean that I’m not gonna be completely fine, it just means, right now, I’ve got to really take this seriously.”

Carly also used her platform to advocate for health awareness among her fans. She urged everyone to pay attention to their health, regardless of their current condition. “Truly, more importantly, if any of you are dealing with any kind of health stuff or aren’t…I just want to use my platform to tell you to take care of your body and listen to it.”

Despite the challenges, Carly Pearce has exciting news on the horizon. Her fourth studio album, “Hummingbird,” is set to release on June 7 under Big Machine Records.
