Jelly Roll took to social media to address concerns from fans who were disappointed by his late-night performance at the NBA All-Star Weekend show on Saturday. Responding to criticism for hitting the stage at 11:30 P.M., Jelly Roll explained that he wasn’t allowed to perform earlier due to contractual constraints and was only permitted to do an hour set.
In a statement, he reassured fans, saying, “I would never leave fans just waiting that late; it was completely out of my control.” Reflecting on the situation, Jelly Roll expressed his intention to avoid corporate events in the future, emphasizing a preference for regular shows to prevent similar inconveniences.
I just wanna clear up any misunderstanding about the Indiana show last night. I wasn’t allowed to go on until 11:30. That’s the way it was set up in the contract and told to only do an hour. I would never leave fans just waiting that late , it was completely out of my control.

The biggest lesson I learned is , I won’t be quick to do corporate events anymore …. Only regular jelly roll shows from now on.
