Garth Brooks says he has new music on the way…as Chris Gaines.

During an interview with “Billboard Live”  Brooks shared, “Yeah, there’s five of them. The five albums have to come out.”

“I want to do it simply for people who love the Gaines project, he continued. “And selfishly, I love the Chris Gaines record, so I want to do it for me.”

“It challenged me as a vocalist,” he added. “So I don’t know when we’re going to get to it, but it’s on the list.”

Garth created the fictional rocker in the 90s much to some fans’ dismay.

In 2019, Garth told  Yahoo Entertainment, “A lot of people misunderstood it, and my ribs are still sore from getting the s*** kicked out of me for it.”
