On Sunday, two of the Turpin siblings, the group of children who escaped their parents’ abusive home nicknamed the “House of Horrors,” met and spent time with Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood.
“I had a Garth Brooks DVD collection while living through hell,” Jennifer captioned a series of photographs and videos on Instagram. “When D & L were gone, I’d sneak and play it on our television. Thank you, @garthbrooks, for being a light through our darkness,” she wrote.
