Jason Aldean Sells 90% of His Music Catalog for $100 Million


Jason Aldean is following in the footsteps of artists like Blake Shelton and Kenny Chesney, who both recently sold off their music catalogs for a large chunk of change.

Aldean has reportedly sold his first nine albums to Spirit Music Group for a whopping $100 million.  The acquisition includes 24 No. 1 songs, 34 Top 10 songs, and six RIAA certified Platinum albums.

“It’s cool that a company like Spirit, that’s been around so long, has taken on my music catalog,” Aldean said. “It’s something really important to me, so I’m glad it’ll be looked after.”

According to Music Row, BBR Music Group still retains part of Aldean’s catalog and some distribution rights.

The country singer was just named the 2022 recipient of the Country Radio Broadcasters’ Artist Humanitarian Award for his charitable work throughout the years.  Aldean has quietly contributed to numerous organizations over the course of his career, including Atrium Health Navicent Beverly Knight Olsen Children’s Hospital, GA’s Children’s Hospital, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, ACM Lifting Lives, Red Cross, and more.  

In his hometown of Macon, Georgia, he raised over $2 million for Atrium Health Navicent Beverly Knight Olsen Children’s Hospital,GA’s Children’s Hospital.
