The Chesapeake Humane Society is warning residents of people going door to door collecting donations on behalf of the shelter.

According to a post shared by the shelter on Facebook, they do not solicit donations this way.

CHS says, ” We primarily accept donations through mailed checks, in-person, and securely online at www.chesapeakehumane.org/donate. Please be on the lookout and notify us if you receive this type of solicitation.
