Happy Halloweekend -Georgia

So last weekend was Halloweekend, aka the weekend before halloween where everybody dresses up and goes to parties. Halloween is my favorite time of the year and who else would I like to spend it with other than 100s of my “best strangers” at a costume party. Thankfully the weather was absolutely beautiful– even a little warm and it made for such a fun and eventful night. As with most parties, it started with a pregame where I got to meet a ton of new friends. The number quickly doubled from 2 to 20 to 50 and then it was just a sea of people huddled on the back porch around a keg and yelling to each other when any new face arrived. There were your basic costumes such as playboy bunny, cat, and vampire. But then there were some really unique ones too! One girl was a Hershey kiss!! She had a metallic silver minidress and a cone hat that bore the Hershey’s logo. She even had a little pouch of the actual chocolate tied to her waistband ! I have never seen anything like it before and now I have a plan for next year.

When it was time to go to the actual party, we all loaded into an uber (we were being safe, mom, I promise) and took off. There were masses of people and we ran into even more friends. But despite how many NEW faces there were, of course we had to run into some people we’d rather not see again… like the guy who ghosted me after my birthday at the end of August. Hey, at least I got a sweet TV out of the deal! Virginia Beach is a very small city, but we still had so much fun! Surprisingly the most basic costumes one the costume contest, Harley Quinn and the Joker. Those were so two years ago.

Regardless, we still had a blast, but the fun didn’t stop there; there was an after party back at the same house from earlier. To be honest. I’m a bit of a grandma when it comes to bedtime and it was already wayyy past mine for the night. I tried to call an uber home but the rates were through the roof. What should’ve been a $15 ride turned into a $70 ride so I quickly cancelled that and found a little couch in the corner to nap on for a couple hours until it went back down. Finally by 4 am it was around $25 dollars. As soon as I got home, I stripped my costume, cuddled my cats, and fell right asleep to conclude the fun of Halloweekend.,, Until next year!

p,s, The website won’t let me add pictures right now, but just know they were bomb haha
