Why can’t I dance as well as Emily?
After spending the last month and a half learning some sweet dance moves for Dancing for Paws, I have a new level of respect for dancers. Mark your calendars for Saturday, June 15th. Myself, along with several other community members will embark on a dancing with the stars style competition that supports the life-saving work of the VBSPCA.
The VBSPCA relies on events like these to help raise awareness and funds to help care for over 3500 animals and 2000 wildlife each year. Myself, along with several other community members have pledged to support the VBSPCA mission and compete in the contest.
It would really tickle me to death if you could show up and show some support. Tickets are going fast but are still available for only $35 bucks! Your ticket price will help support and save lives in Hampton Roads. Purchase your tickets here. Another giant bonus to showing up to the event, there will be many adorable adoptable animals on location.
My dance partner, Emily, is the real deal. I’m trying hard to not make her look bad during our performance. So far, I’m feeling pretty good about our chances. We’ve decided on an upscale two-step. I must say, two-stepping has come along way since my mother showed me how in our living room before my first middle school dance. Mom didn’t realize then that two-stepping wasn’t the coolest dance move at the time.
Rehearsal has been a lot of fun and I can’t wait to show everyone what I’ve got. We’ll see you at Chrysler Hall on June 15th!
